Das Essen war gut, nur die Zwiebelsuppe hatte leicht Schwächen. Das Lokal selbst würde ich als 'originell ' bezeichnen

nettes Cafe, mit freundlichen Betreibern und Kellner. Sehr bemüht um jeden Gast. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl und 'gut aufgehoben ' sehr empfehlenswert

We stumbled upon this lovely cafe and had a wonderful meal in a very relaxed atmosphere. The owner greeted us and treated us very warmly. We recommed Gschamster Diener Anyone looking for the traditional Wien atmosphere! It's also very pocket friendly.

Zu empfehlen. Urig gemütlich und leckeres Essen. 20 Euro für ein Wiener Schnitzel nicht ganz günstig aber geschmeckt hat es. Der Tafelspitz war butterzart und für 14 Euro ok. Der Kaiserschmarrn war eine Riesen Portion mit über 8 Euro auch recht teuer. Wäre schön wenn man da eine kleinere Portion bekommen könnte.

Freundliches Personal, ein wunderschönes traditionelles Wiener Kaffeehaus, gemütliche Stimmung und tolle nostalgische Einrichtung. Die Bänke innen bestückt mit Stoffgarnitur, Jugendstillampe, mit einem geheimen Innenhof und weiter Schanigarten straßenseitig. Sehr zu empfehlen, sollte ruhig aber ein Geheimnis bleiben weniger Touristen, ein Rückziehrort für Wiener : Ver carta

I agree with some reviewers here that the service depends on who serves you. Because I had no luck in service. He hurried and said everything we ordered. The calf was hard and lukewarm. The goulash soup was filled with small bones and fat pieces. Only the carbonated lemon juice was good. I lived in Vienna for eight years, and that was for me, not an authentic Austrian cuisine.

We were looking for dinner somewhere and wandering past this beautiful place and thought we would try. This place is a step back in time beautiful mild floor plates, newspapers to read, curiosities on the wall. We were ordered immediately by a beautiful gentleman and drinks and food. The portions were large and tasty. We enjoyed our visit here very much and would go back to the next visit to Vienna.

We were rather disappointed because the restaurant we intended to go was closed and found this lovely restaurant by pure chance. The place is so authentic; the wood panels and the furniture are old but not shabby and you feel the charme of old times. The owner is friendly and welcoming and even if his English is not excellent he managed to explain in details all the different dishes . This was the only restaurant in Wien where we where not offered Wiener schnitzel...we had a delicious goulash and excellent fried liver and to finish a wonderful kaiserschmarm, one of the most typical Austrian desserts.
