my fish was beautiful and fresh (plaice iirc) and I liked the roast. the muddy heap was one of the most beautiful I've cost for a long time. well divided. not sure that the grilled tomato that they contain, but more vegies never hurt anyone.

If you just want a pint at the bar, forget it. They will try to corral you to a table and then when you try and pay will try and sneak a 25% service charge on top without telling you (even when you've tried to go to the bar to get the drinks yourself, and even when you have to wait 15minutes for your drinks).

We hired the venue out for my 30th birthday it was absolutely perfect, Marissa and the team could not have been more accommodating of anything we asked for. The food and cocktails were amazing and was commented on by all the guests. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking to go for dinner/drinks or as we did for private hire on a weekend.

This is a strange pub really, if you can indeed call it that. Situated just off Clerkenwell Road near Farringdon, there's not a shortage of options in the area. We were passing and had a cheeky final pint after dinner and before the last tube. However, the stark, plain interior has an odd feel. Despite, the decent, but small range of beers you're still left feeling a bit unsure if you've missed something. O well, I'm sure once the drinks start flowing it gets lively, but didn't get a great vibe on my visit.

I made the right decision to spend my birthday at Tigre Tacos at the Gunmakers. We had a great time. The food was exactly what I was looking for, genuine, unpretentious, delicious Mexican Pacific-style food. As this was a last-minute plan we were unable to book a table earlier and so we had a limited time to order food before the kitchen closed. Nonetheless, the staff made their best to cater and deliver our food and drinks orders on time. Everyone had a good time and I really enjoyed spending my birthday evening there. As a Mexican myself, I can fully recommend this place!
