"If you are looking for an old German traditional restaurant around Frankfurt, then this is the place to visit. The guest is transported back to the past. Nothing has changed from the interior design to the service personnel. One is greeted at the door by...a rather chubby manager to the back of the restaurant where he hangs up your coat and issues you with a little numbered ticket. Reminded me of my opera visits. Anyway, the food reflects good, old German cuisine served on a large silver plate wheeled to your table by a stiff waiter. Again, I could not help but think of the film Dinner for One . The atmosphere, our waiter, the food just transports one to a historical period where all time stands still. There is absolutely no eye contact or friendly conversation between guest and service personnel. One is truely transported to an era of bygone days. If you are paying with American Express or other credit card you will need to go to the restaurant kitchen to pay. Unfortunately, their card machines only work in the kitchen. As I say, be warned. This is not your typical German restaurant of modern times. But the food is good, service personnel perhaps on the heavy side and the ambience is old-German style. Dogs are most welcome of course. And after a heavy or light meal, take a good stroll around the lovely pedestrian walkways around the golf green and enjoy the lovely nature around you."

It is a good and historic golf club. It is not cheap but the food worth it . Thelocation is beautiful. the service is excellent and food is awesome. I will be back!

We have been here several times, it is very popular with the locals and highly recommended. Normally we come for coffee and cake always good. It can get very busy so finding somewhere to sit can be a challenge.

the staff is friendly and they have some nice dishes on the menu. the location is lovely, although the interieur is something special: play the German card. the quality of the dishes is very expensive. it's a location: people willing to squirt money for a certain quality and something else, but there's much better place around.

we had a meal in the restaurant (there is also a large, beautiful sitting area in the open,) but the experience was disappointing. the waiter did not respect, hastened, the meal was moderate and the price did not eat in the line or expeience. there are many. good restaurants in the opposite, this is not necessary to add their lists.

German food at its best. This is how I would classify these place, located just outside Frankfurt. Time goes by, most staff remain there and the food is simply excellent all the time. It is a place for a quiet meal be it lunch...or dinner and enjoy the clean air of its trees, floweers and green green field (golf course). The service is always elegant and friendly. Almost all people there speak English and other languages besides German.

Each time I am in Germany, i will go to Gutsschänke Neuhof at least once. 41 years ago, our Wedding reception was catered by Neuhof. It was outstanding! Since then I moved to the United States but visit Germany at least every other year. My...favorite main course is the Chateaubriand for two. it is always prepared to perfection! If you do not have time for a dinner coffee and cake are wonderful too. There is outdoor seating. The service is outstanding.

I come to this restaurant, the main restaurant and recently the smaller goodsschaenke since the first move to Germany 1976. it's just a short drive or bike ride from our house, and it's the ultimate destination for someone looking for a good...traditional German kitchen in a magnificent environment. it is also the aim of choice if we have visitors from outside Germany if we want to give someone the full taste and experience of a beautiful German restaurants. eating is consistently good, and the service is always friendly.

Just moved within 3 km of this place, location is ideal, menu looked promising, very pleasant sunny weekend afternoon. We finally got a table, it took 15 minutes for the previous diners to get their bill after asking for it, so we 'd waited 30 minutes...to sit down. Another 15 minutes waiting to have our order taken (still with dirty dishes and cups on the table) when we asked (in German) if the table could be cleared the response was a blunt I 've only got one pair of hands . The other waiting staff seemed disinterested, one was lingering around and on his phone.
