we ordered complete set (8 course menu) and we went to home feeling happy and annoyed at the same time. happy that everything was fantastic, upset that this beautiful experience must come to an end.

the restaurant thé hannappel is a real must for all who appreciate fantastic food pairing and artistic presentations! the interieur is very cozy and warm, we enjoyed a beautiful service. the prices are very attractive, we are happy to visit again! Ver carta

we had a good dinner and the atmosphere and eating was really good. the 4-speed dinner was nice, service was really good. the attention to the customer feedback was bad. they were sold on the white wine of the menu, no more desserts, we could have a better closing of a good dinner. flexibility is not part of culture.

I have to say that this is probably the best thing I've ever eaten in my life! and I'm not exaggerated. I have tried some fine restaurants and some michelin star restaurants, but nevertheless I never really feel happy as the restaurant Hannappel...did I ordered 3 courses package (that was about 65 euro – the best 65 euro I ever spend in my life) that I know of the thief who is included with fish, meat and dessert; but the rest is mysterious, and I am really surprised that all three dishes were really great. the part was simply perfect; I mean most of the time when I went to the restaurant, I still feel hungry, but this time came home with happy breath.

Business dinner on my first night in Essen and the food at Hannappel was sensational. The menu being in German (well we are in Germany after all) I was fortunate my colleagues were able to translate it for me. All the food was the very best of fine dining - amazing flavours well balanced, perfectly presented and simply food you would rarely eat at home but well worth the effort in a formal setting.Shrimp starter was great with prawns shelled and cooked to perfection. I had the lamb rack for main which was cooked perfectly and followed with a desert which was well balanced. Service is very formal but attentive and knowledgeable. presented as a gourmet restaurant, the shock was inevitable. although electronic booking usually does not allow a room for misunderstandings, the restaurant called up before our booked arrival time to delay us while not the formal courtesy requirements when they contact customers...i.e. the customer only with the family name, without the usual title mr/ mrs. the location is except the city, but not in a beautiful opposite. the old building, was well modernized inside, with white tablecloths, but no sign of a stylistic effort. you could think that this was done expediently to give the teller the ramp light. However, these were rather lacking in “something”, although made from fresh ingredient...

this is the restaurant they choose to celebrate special occasion. jubilee, birthday, valentine, they call everything, and I think they and their partner come with great smiles on their face and happy bauch. as I said in the title, that was my third time here. this time I order 5 cursor with wein (cost 89 € per person) and each penny are very well spent for these meals. If it's their first time, they can try the 3-course surprise menu (it costs only 68 € including wine) usually I can say that both I and my man eat a lot and maybe even after 5-course menu come hungry to home. but not in hannapel. there is something magical that I cannot explain why we always feel the right amount of “full” and...

We visited Hannappel for dinner in November with a smaller group during a medical fair in Duesseldorf. The restaurant is located in the outskirts of Essen and therefore at least a 15 minute cab ride from the center of Essen. Despite being not to early only two other tables were occupied, which gave the evening a somewhat stiff atmosphere. The restaurant itself is in a older building but the dining room looked modern and contemporary. The menu is fairly limited and has a focus on regional products with a slightly modern and fancy touch. The quality and taste of of the amuse-gueule, starters and the main course was flawless.
