had a really nice meal. eating was nice and very fast served. the staff was very friendly and helpful.

fantastic friendly staff very generous on eating. large space, large location, if it helped us by the opposite.

visited with family. the staff was very friendly and the food was good/tasty. the menu choice was somewhat limited, but I put it on kovid. recommend a visit.

Me and my wife came in for some food Sunday night, and the chief is excellent, larger than average portion size and proper butchers meat and fresh vegetables. Nice outside area to enjoy a drink while the table was cleaned, will be going back soon.

can owe this place. good al for fair price and good food. good local pub atmosphere, friendly local and co-workers, as I like em. also have to say compliments to the young lad his mother. I was so impressed by the son of one of the workers in. He was so polite and well gifted. I like to appreciate good manners. don't cost a long walk away.

First time visit that won’t be the last. Only called in on first day here from Australia and enjoyed some proper Ale… tried some of the loaded fries off the menu and they are amazing, especially the lamb kofta … but to be honest they are all great. Definitely be trying the rest of the menu while staying in the area. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff… great pub.

We booked our rooms through Agoda.com, who failed to pass on the booking details to the inn. So when we arrived the inn weren’t expecting us. Despite this, the staff went out of their way to make sure we had two very clean, comfortable rooms ready as quickly as they could. The two members of staff who dealt with us couldn’t have been nicer or more welcoming making sure we had everything we needed for our overnight stay. Breakfast was delicious with a great choice, large helpings and friendly, helpful service. We would definitely stay at the Hare Hounds again but we’ll find a better way to book rather than using Agoda.com.

Visited on the 7th May with 8 other family members .Some were visiting from Canada and some from Hednesford. We were booked in at 7.pm . We didn't wait long for the food to be served and the the food was really good no complaints at all. What we were unhappy about was that Music started being played fairly loud in the room where we were sat . We had to ask for it to be turned off . At approximately 9.15 we were asked if we wanted anymore to drink as he was calling last orders . We had only just refilled our glasses so wasn't ready for another . We were told there was no one in the pub so they were closing although there were 10 of us. Then the lights started being turned off in the bar area....

We stopped off here on the way back to Blackpool following a trip to Earby. Contemporary decor on entry but still feels like a local’s pub. Interesting menu, not your usual pub grub but we were drawn to the steak and ale pie. It arrived and our jaws dropped at the size of the portions. Our quarter slice each was more than enough, packed with steak, the top of the melt in your mouth pastry was domed, the pie was so full. Crisp chips, individual jug of gravy provided, the pie was perfection. One of us had the lemon cheesecake and reported that this was no sickly packet mix. Good biscuity base, tart lemon filling of firm consistency, beautifully decorated plate not what we were expecting. Great...
