"I would never normally leave a poor review, if I haven't enjoyed somewhere I just wouldn't return. However, due to the price of this particular meal I felt I had to leave some comments. Firstly, the menu wasn't what I had booked (3 courses and Prosecco for £45) there was a choice of the Festive menu at £55 for 3 courses or the al a carte. The setting itself was a bit disappointing. I appreciate it was in Harrods, but I expected it to be a bit more exclusive, for want of a better word. We were sat in a nice booth, but it was next to the walkway between the wine shop and the restaurant. It was also pretty hard to find in the maze that is Harrods. The staff were lovely and actually did give us a complimentary glass of Prosecco when I questioned the change in the menu. The low service score is due to the length of time we waited for our starters to arrive. I had booked the table for 5.30pm as we had a train to catch at 8.30pm, but as you only get a 2-hour timeslot anyway I thought this would be ample time. We did get there a bit late (as I said it was hard to find) but had ordered by 6.00pm. Our starters arrived about 6.50pm! The staff approached us twice to apologise for the delay and refilled our Prosecco glass, but by the time it came, and we had eaten it, it was past 7.00pm so we had to have our main and pudding in quick succession after the starter. We had also ordered a bottle of wine and I had to ask the server to put the lid back on the bottle so we could take it with us. I've no idea why it took so long to arrive as it wasn't really that full and all we had ordered was the soup and a cold salmon starter. The food was okay (a little bit cold if truth be told) but didn't reflect the price. The bill was £166 for 2 including service. I could have knocked off the service charge, but we were rushing to get away to catch the train, and as I said the staff were lovely. Overall, really disappointing."

For such an understated venue, the food here really packs a punch. The crab starter is dreamy and I had a ravioli which I wished there'd been more of, it was utterly delicious. My husband always has the club sandwich, and the chips are wonderful. Always a fabulous meal with great service.

The service and food were flawless. However, the ambiance is located on the lower level, which lacks proper ventilation. The restrooms are situated outside the restaurant and are more suitable for visitors in Harrods. Additionally, the prices are quite steep, with a shocking 30% markup compared to any Ivy location.

Celebrating my birthday and our anniversary we came here early evening and had the excellent set menu . The choice of food was excellent and delicious . Although for me I found the chicken a bit too salty for my taste but perfectly cooked and presented .A la carry menu looked excellent to do would definitely return. The wine list is excellent and brilliant value . We had the rock angel which is a lovely provence rose wine . The people who served us wete lovely and gave us exceptional service.
