The vegetarian options were good overall, except for the Thai curry, which was rather bland.

I really enjoyed the fajitas! Unfortunately, I didn’t have room for dessert, which was a shame because the vegan option (chocolate orange mousse) sounded amazing. Definitely try to reserve a window seat at the top in advance if you can.

We found this on our second night in Orkney, the food was really good, it’s labelled on the menu all allergens, there isn’t a lot of choice but we were just happy to have food that was labelled vegan. I had the pleasure of dining at a cozy establishment called Book Them On! where I tried their 'Mighty Vegan Burger.' My friend claimed it was one of the best vegan burgers they had ever tasted, and given that we’ve tried many, I trust their judgment. We also enjoyed a beautiful coconut rice pudding with fruit. In addition to the burger, they offer vegan fajitas, salads, and a variety of other delicious options.

It was my birthday, so we chose Helgi's for the occasion, but it turned out to be just average. We had a reservation and were seated upstairs by the wall. The servers came by to take our order and deliver the food, but that was about it; there was little interaction beyond that. I ordered the Scallop and Prosciutto Tagliatelle, which featured scallops that were incredibly fresh, caught that morning. However, the dish itself was quite bland. The scallops were served with their roe, as seen in the picture. The steak was good, and dessert was nice. Overall, I left feeling somewhat unwelcome, and as I reflected on my visit, it just didn't leave a positive impression.

We visited Helgis twice. On our first visit, everything went smoothly. I enjoyed a delicious bowl of vegan soup of the day and a vegan burger. The service was satisfactory, although they accidentally brought us a pint of beer instead of a pot of tea. However, our second visit was less pleasant. There were two servers who ignored us for about five minutes, despite the pub being nearly empty. After they disappeared from sight, one server eventually approached us after ten minutes to ask what we wanted to drink. We mentioned that we were also interested in having something to eat (this was at 9 PM). At that point, they informed us that the kitchen closed at 9 PM, which I think should have been... Ver carta
