poor acoustics meant crying baby killer atmosphere, had to chase up order and then side dishes never appeared. £80 for a family of three felt like poor value.

the hotel needed a renovation in rooms as extremely tired look. woodwork everywhere needed painting or replacing in rooms. no central heating, only separate heating in rooms. eat and service well, but disappointed restaurant was closed as ready for the function next night!

The hotel room was clean and comfortable, but unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The nachos were served cold, and the vegetables were missing from the fish cake. The dishes arrived too quickly, and considering the price, it simply wasn't acceptable. I would have preferred a sandwich from a gas station.

Great staff and good food, only negatives would be we couldn't always hear our server very clearly as the restaurant was quite noisy. Took a while to get final bill as server misunderstood us. Would say like most hotel restaurants and restaurants in general the wine was vastly overpriced and not particularly good.

There was one barman on duty, who had to take food orders as well. There was also a trainee, who could not or would not take any order, and a 17 year old likewise. The night manager tried to help, the duty manager did not. Consequently when we were trying to get food there were 20 people in line and like us, they were not happy. The one barman kept a smile on his face! When food arrived, it was okay though the vegetables were hard and not hot.

There was a bartender on duty who also had to take food orders. Additionally, there was a person in training who was unable to hire anyone and couldn't serve anyone under 18. The night supervisor attempted to assist the service manager, but it seemed ineffective. When we tried to order food, there were 20 people in line, and like us, they were not pleased. Throughout the chaos, the bartender managed to keep a smile on his face! When the food finally arrived, it was decent, though it was lukewarm instead of hot.

As an IHG Platinum member I chose dine at the hotel restaurant however due to dairy and egg allergies I was very disappointed that the soup was labelled vegan but contained cheese. The vegan burger was labelled vegan but was not and on some menus not all the vegan logo had been crossed out next to the burger! Eventually I asked for bread as none of the vegan options were actually vegan and I was told the bread contained egg and although it was on the menu as an accompaniment for vegan dishes it was not actually vegan. This is unacceptable as anyone with allergies to dairy or eggs could suffer an alergic reaction the these foods and the Vegan.
