Lovely surroundings, good service, turkey lunch dissapointing, meat was compressed and hard cut too thick and dry, not charged after complaint

Popped in for a drink before meeting a friend for dinner. Wished I hadn’t. It’s the pub where all the undesirables go. The staff are hopeless and the manageress is up her own backside. Horrible throughout. Never bothered ordering a drink. Ver carta

Brief stop at The Home on the High Street in Kilwinning. Beer good, barmaid friendly, seats a bit threadbare, customers fairly friendly. I would have a quick pint in there again if I was in the area but it isn't my favourite pub in the world.

just had the steak pie for my sunday dinner with the family. the service couldn't be better and the kids were made to feel welcome. high chairs and baby change were also used by ourselves. ruby loved the spaghetti and bolognese and my wife sais that the house rose wine was so good she needed a second bottle

Went in with my brother for a wee drink and found a pube in my pint, told the barman who laughed and said it’s no his cos he’s bald and shaves aw his balls. Discusting way to speak to your customers! If that was not bad enough we had ordered some fish and chips and we were served some cheap frozen **** from farm foods, when we questioned it we were told it was fresh caught that day by the owner. Not convinced we asked another waitress who confirmed it was frozen and bought in cheap ****. The place is a shambles surprised it’s still open. Ver carta

Three of us arrived for lunch. Ordered 3 steak baguettes 2 with chips. Meals arrived very quickly. Well presented and full of steak strips and some onions. Chips crispy and tasty(unusual nowadays). Young lady long dark hair who delivered meal was friendly as was man behind bar. Excellent value for money surprised how quiet it was (pity). Have been before a few times and am always impressed with meals and prices here. Perhaps menu could be a little more comprehensive but maybe its quality of food and not choice that's important really. Will be back again and keep on serving the generous portions at these prices please !!!

Popped in with my sister and baby for lunch. Pub was quiet and upon arrival we felt they didn’t really ant us there. May have been as we had the baby? The staff did warm up a bit however. I had the soup which I really believe had been watered down to go further. It may have been quite nice otherwise. Helpful in heating up baby food. My sister and I couldn’t eat our meals as they had already been salted? Visible salt on our chips etc. Never known somewhere to do this. Did mention this to staff but no apology or offer of discount for non consumption. Toilet had no loo role Girl behind the bar spent the whole time swearing and shouting on the phone to someone. Not a pleasant atmosphere.

Absolute fantastic place. I have very specific dietary requirements and these guys honestly catered to every request and more. I had a home delivery around December time, i ordered a range of meals for myself and the other half. After advising I had allergies i was put onto the chef who reassured me about the contents of the dishes. I was satisfied with my phone-call with the mans abilities, however when the delivery arrived all expectations had been surpassed. He individually on each dish and container wrote all the ingredients contained and separated the contaminated items in separate bags. Honestly i have never received service like that in my 26 years on this earth. As an added bonus the... Ver carta
