"We wanted to eat good fresh, well-served food. The contract is full! the choice in the menus and the map is important, quite a lot of well-crafted Lyon specialties. The quenelle was perfect. a small advice for the chef: dressage and some plates serve the dish. A little more finesse and effort on the presentation and it will be perfect."

"8 of us went for a mid-week lunch and we all had mixed feelings about our meal. The 29€ had: foie gras a little under seasoned all be it well prepared and presented; prawns a "surf&turf", prawns were tasteless, under seasoned, with an undercooked cold boiled egg and 2 thick slices of bacon; all served with a strong garlic sauce. All very confusing and not particularly well executed nor tasty.As a main: 350g with 3 bone marrow and chips, way too much meat for a 3 course meal, the bone marrows were excellent and the meat tender. The sweetbreads were covered in garlic, cooked well all be it slightly under seasoned. The cod, was over cooked and risotto was tasteless.The desserts, galette was OK the sorbet was over sweet, the other dessert was a fondant au caramel which was excellent.Over all La Bagatelle offers a simple menu which is of good value for money but way too much food on the plate, not refined enough and easy too copious.I don't think we will return, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant itself is nice."

"In this lovely simple restaurant, we were kindly received. Our drinks were rushed and then we chose a salad with goat cheese and oysters. Both were delicious of taste. As main dish musselling a la roquefort and an entrecote with fries. The Mussels warwn very small but fine of taste. The steak was perfectly grilled and delicious. Already with a fine meal for a fine price!"

"We were visiting Le Havre as part of our mini cruise with Celebrity Cruises. It was my husband's birthday and so I wanted to mark the occasion with a leisurely French lunch. I wanted to book ahead anticipating that there would be a huge number of fellow cruise guests wanting some where nice to eat during their time ashore. I was able to book online using the link on the Trip Advisor page and I received a prompt confirmation plus a request to confirm the reservation the day before which I found very reassuring. The restaurant is situated in a quiet street about 5 minutes from the beach and tourist information office.We were the only English people dining there on this occasion. The rest appeared to be locals enjoying the VE bank holiday. We opted for the 30 Euro menu. We started with an amuse bouche followed by a languoustine soup. Our main was a lamb stew with spring vegetables. After the cheese course we had a dessert of chocolate mouse, raspberry sorbet and chocolate tuille. The meal was washed down by a bottle of Chablis. Every dish was so fresh and tasty. The portions were not too big nor too small thus allowing you enough room for each course. The service was efficient and friendly. The decor is modern and smart. For a modest size restaurant in quite a modest location it certainly packed a punch above its weight."

"It was a recommendation that we received from a tourist guide and were happy to have gone there. we enjoyed eating out on the terrace because the sun was out. the variety of the menu we all enjoyed and we enjoyed our food. I recommend ordering their fish and chips with a homemade tartare sauce, it was delicious! They also make delicious pancakes. our server was friendly and the service was excellent. There was a medieval bayeux party at the time of our visit, which made the atmosphere very fun. There are many shops nearby that we liked to browse after eating. We even thought about returning a second night in a row, certainly check this place!"
