"I noticed the varied menu clearly displayed on banners on the wall, which was a huge plus—no squinting at a board! They offer all the classic chip shop options, along with burgers, mozzarella sticks, and other tasty items. The service also deserves 5 stars. The gentleman who served us—possibly the owner—was wonderful: friendly, professional, and very patient as we picked out our dips! They charge 50p per tub for a choice of mayo, tartar sauce, ketchup, or BBQ sauce. I’m giving 5 stars for the atmosphere too, even if it’s just your typical chip shop vibe. I don’t think the lack of ambient charm reflects poorly on the business at all. Thank you, Hooked and Cooked! We’ll definitely be back. Aweful food, rip off prices and poor customer service. The worst chippy I've ever visited in a long time which is a shame seen as it's the only one available in Arran. Cost me £17 for 1 battered sausage, 2 portions of chips and 1 gravy. Ordered large portions of chips which came in tiny trays and equally small portions, the gravy was extremely runny and the battered sausage was pretty grim. Wouldn't recommend.
