"Seven of us stayed at a hotel a few minutes drive from this restaurant. We are big foodies and really appreciate good quality, well cooked food and spend time researching and carefully selecting restaurants for lunch and dinner wherever we go in the world. We selected Tanit based on the great reviews and interesting menu. We should not have bothered! The owner, who apparently spent couple of years working in London, has obviously not picked up basic customer service skills from her time in the U.K. She appeared to show interest in our trip and offered to give us a contact number for a place we showed interest in. That was the last time we saw her at our table. We waited for very long time for our food (45 minutes for a slice of watermelon and coffees) and the table next to us, clearly local intalians, were served first even though they ordered after we did. No one asked us if we wanted another drink for an hour and we had to go and look for a waiter to order more water (it was steaming hot outside and our children were very thirsty). Compared to other restaurants in the area, this was really mediocre at best. The seafood pasta had two or three minuscule (clearly previously frozen) prawns and no more than five clams. My husband's steak (the most expensive dish on the meat menu) was practically inedible: very chewy and tasted of nothing. He left it all on the plate and none of the waiters bothered to enquire why he hasn't touched it. The owner was busy chatting to other tables occupied by those who would clearly come back and offer her repeat business, such as the local Italians. There are plenty of great restaurants around Santa Flavia and nearby Bagheria, many of them actually cheaper than this place. We obviously won't go back to a restaurant where the food is not worth chewing and the service one of the worst we have experienced in the world."

"Abbiamo cenato qui per un'occasione di famiglia. Locale super curato, location unica nonostante la stagione invernale. Personale cortese e particolarmente attento. Siamo stati accolti con un omaggio dello chef, ostriche con lamponi, sfincionello bagherese e degustaizone di olio della casa. Successivamente abbiamo preso degli antipasti da dividere:porzioni abbondati e ottima qualità (l'antipasto caldo si mangia tranquillamente in 3). Abbiano ordinato moscardini fritti e antipasto caldo cefala.Poi abbiamo optato per un piatto a testa.. Ho assaggiato i paccheri al ragu di polpo e calamaro ai colori con una guacamole ai fichi d india.. Veramente spettacolare"

"I moved to Sicily 2 years ago and work in Palermo, choosing to live in Casteldaccia. I have eaten at cafe 113 5 times....and each time is the same. We are English, yet we do try to speak Italian....to be honest, we can point at a menu regardless of language! Yet, despite 3 men stood around, arms crossed and looking bored, it took a gentleman in jeans and a sweatshirt to come and take our order. We only ordered our wine after 30 minutes because we waved....the same when we wished to order food....no service skills whatsoever. Unfortunately, the food was not good. The risotto with king prawns and curry sauce had 3 prawns and a sauce that was only curry by the colour....no spice at all, and I like it fairly mild which means it was particularly poor!. The chicken, 2nd dish, was very fatty and definitely not chicken breast. The veal not the breaded one was very rare...which suits me....but extremely chewy. I left 3 quarters of my meal and by this point just wished to leave. No one asked how it was ok? Is the same in both languages! The real shame is that the venue is delightful. The menu is creative. However the service is appalling and the quality of the food did not live up to the descriptions. La Rotonda literally 1 minute walk around the corner is a much better experience and Snai caffe Vincendo next door have much friendlier staff if you just want a drink or snack. It is a shame...I have been here 2 years and will be here for many years yet....but I can find very little to say that is positive about this restaurant. I only return because I forget how much I disliked it the last time....I will not be making that mistake again."

"Ci siamo fermati qua per caso,un incidente in autostrada ha bloccato il nostro viaggio e così abbiamo deciso di andare a cena aspettando che si smaltisse il traffico....abbiamo trovato un locale carino ed accogliente e la gentilezza di Francesco unica!!! Si è preoccupato subito di far mangiare il bambino, una panada di pollo graditissima e noi pizze buonissime di alta qualità sia come impasto che come ingredienti,sono rimasta molto soddisfatta e anche il conto per quanto riguarda la qualità prezzo direi ottimo! Ps. Anche Il dolce sembrava molto appetitoso e presentato in maniera molto originale ma abbiamo dovuto rinunciare per non appesantirci a causa del lungo viaggio che ci attendeva"

"Sabato sera, io mio marito e mia figlia. Chiamo, prenoto, alle 20.30 già seduti al tavolo. Servizio accogliente e impeccabile: ogni cameriere stava attento che non mancasse nulla ai tavoli. Menù on line da scaricare con qr code. Abbiamo preso un piccolo antipasto con crocchette di patate, panelle, mozzarella impanata e fritta, e verdure in pastella. Tutto fatto veramente buonissimo e frittura perfetta e croccante senza olio che cola. In seguito abbiamo preso 3 pizze di una bontà infinita: una american baby (pomodoro,fior di latte,patatine e wurtel) una Mortazza (impasto di grani antichi, croccante fuori e soffice dentro, condita a crudo con mortadella di altissima qualità, una intera burrata al centro e una cascata di pistacchi semi tritati al coltello. una cruditella (pomodoro,mozzarella di bufala, prosciutto crudo di parma 18 mesi, rucola,scaglie di grana). Inutile dire quanto era buono ogni impasto, ogni singolo morso si scioglieva in bocca! Impasto veramente impareggiabile e ingredienti di prima qualità! Tutto avvolto nella calma e nella serenità di sabato sera d'estate post covid. Bagni pulitissimi e locale molto curato e moderno. Posteggio un po piccolino. Alla fine abbiamo pagato 56€ meritatissimi!"
