"DER DÄNE is one of about 5 restaurants around the historic market in the old town of Glückstadt. Port, ferry and Matjes as well as the adjacent shopping streets attract visitors, who will inevitably eat something here. Anyone who lands in the DÄNEN is lucky: hotel and restaurant business well-bourgeois solid with a map that reproduces almost every preference. The rainy outdoor terrace neatly maintained at a cloudy late noon in the week rather empty and our starting point for a little bite. The feminine confessed service kindly humorous and supernett brought some color into the triste mood and was parat when needed. First a glass of white wine Chardonnay 0.2l 3.90€ crisp fresh; the Grauburgunder (0.2l 5.80€ balanced round; Less than 0,25l 2,30€. It should be just a little bit, but the guess after studying the map was a reality: After a pleasant waiting period, opaquely decorated plates with similar portions: feta in foil grilled with onions, vegetables, knobi, homemade Sour Cream Dip, salad and fladen bread (9.90€ 2 larger pieces of cheese juicy aromatic with beautiful garlic note all along with deliciously tasty fresh salad buffet accompanied. handy good and saturating pleasant. Crispy Chicken Sandwich in Focacciabrot with Ceasars Dressing and Sparkling. Salad inserts (10,90€ : 2 huge layers of chicken meat with all kinds of ingredients between the bread halves quite high and initially difficult to händeln but later plentiful and easier to enjoy. Bunter flavor mix sustainably saturating and quite harmonious thanks to Ceasar. Fairly calculated and reasonable food also for a short visit with good service. Mainstream recommended uncomplicated."

"You can get pretty much everything you could imagine in a bistro on the Elbe in terms of cool and warm drinks and food. The prices are quite expensive for a bistro, but you can enjoy food and drink in the middle of the Elbe in a cozy lounge. Feel free to come back at any time. Parking: There are approximately 40 parking spaces. These cost €4 for the whole day. Sold out quickly when the weather is good. Service: Dine in"

"Nach langer Fahrt kamen wir zum dritten Mal in das Restaurant und haben uns sehr auf das Schnitzel gefreut, da wir davon bei unserem ersten Besuch sehr angetan waren. Leider mussten wir eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten. Die Schnitzel waren sehr unterschiedlich gebraten und trocken. Meines war sehr dunkel und etwas knorpelig. Ich hatte aber großen Hunger und aß alles auf. Das Dressing vom Salat war auch anders als wir es in Erinnerung hatten. Ketchup war wohl aus dem Eimer. Für den Preis zu teuer. Das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich, aber man merkte, dass sie unterbesetzt waren. Nur 3 Leute am Pfingstmontag. Sie taten Ihr bestes, was man vom Koch nicht behaupten kann. Schade für den Preis. Wir glauben nicht, dass wir nochmal so eine weite Reise machen"

"Wir hatten den Logger noch eine neue Chance gegeben, nachdem wir nach dem letzten Besuch sehr enttäuscht waren und eine längere Zeit bis zum nächsten Besuch haben verstreichen lassen. Leider wurden wir erneut enttäuscht. Das Essen kam lauwarm an den Tisch und wurde von unmotiviertem und unfreundlichem Personal serviert. Das Fleisch im Burger schmeckte sauer, das Bauernfrühstück schmeckte gar nicht, die Pommes von zwei Gerichten waren lauwarm und die Ofenkartoffel mit Lachs musste man für einen völlig überteuerten Preis auf dem Teller suchen. Nachdem wir gefragt wurden, ob es uns schmeckt, haben wir reklamiert. Die Bedienung reagierte darauf überhaupt nicht und ging. Kein Wort der Entschuldigung, kein Essen, das zurückging, kein Entschuldigungs-Goody. Dafür eine hohe Rechnung. Das war definitiv das allerletzte Mal, dass wir als Glückstädter dieses Lokal besucht haben."
