"We ate twice at Ristorante il Covo: first at lunch and another day at dinner. My wife declared If we lived here, this would be my favorite restaurant. Il Covo has a simple menu of about 6 appetizers, 6 first courses ,6 mains, plus a selection of pizzas. No pizza for us, but everything else was excellent. My sweetheart ordered an outstanding bowl of gnudi: a flourless gnocchi made with spinach and ricotta cheese. It was served with a cheesy cream sauce and topped with pistachio nuts. She made the slipper ' and mopped her bowl clean with a slice of bread. The pici pasta with a tomato sauce spiked aglione (a local variety of large garlic) was hearty and filling. The white bean soup is simply outstanding. This is a thick and creamy broth perfectly seasoned and still lets the flavor of the humble beans come through. Salmon is not a native Italian fish, by wife 's fillet encrusted with pistachios was nice. My beef stewed in a local red wine was dark, hearty, and delicious. The walls in Il Covo also act as the wine cellar. Just browse the shelves and select a wine that appeals to you. Most of the wines are priced less than 30 euros per bottle"

nice restaurant in the valley of orcia in montepulciano with small hanging garden, in which we ate excellent meat from Tuscan farms and drunk good red wine of montepulciano. attentive and friendly staff. preferable to book.

a real restaurant in montepulciano. I can only praise the availability of staff and their friendliness. they have received without problems my request for a separate table to allow us to better manage our child of 3 months with the wheelchair. Moreover the food is really of excellent quality. fresh pasta and abundant cutter. very large, clean and accessible to all. definitely recommended. large parking on the back of the premises.

We had a variety of dishes and all of them were excellent. The sauces were all unique for each dish. The service was very good and we will try to return. Parking is easily available and on temperate days you have an excellent view of Montepulciano from the outside terrace. The family has ran it for a number of years and the main chef is the wife of the family team. The house red wine is excellent. Ogni cosi era buon. Questa ristorante e' nostra nuovo favorito.
