we stayed at dinner at this place for nights below. we enjoyed the varied menu and well executed with typical dishes and other more particular. Good pizza too. average prices, just for what we ate and drank. We recommend it.

found by chance, the Montepulciano covo was a pleasant surprise and a beautiful culinary experience. the will of the managers to ocire from the canons of the stereotyped gouits and the ability to offer cured dishes in the search of the primary products is evident in every detail. courteous and sunny, they turned out to be a great choice that made us spend hours pleasant to discover the great Tuscan cuisine. dinner for two. nice place on the road, outside the center and easily reachable by car, with private parking. friendly and helpful staff. attention to the covid rules: green pass required at the entrance, menu with qrcode and respected space. cute and welcoming interiors. Menu not very rich in dishes, but very good dinner from appetizers to dessert. nice wine paper provided, also with cellars of less fame, but excellent quality. I'll be back.

We had a variety of dishes and all of them were excellent. The sauces were all unique for each dish. The service was very good and we will try to return. Parking is easily available and on temperate days you have an excellent view of Montepulciano from the outside terrace. The family has ran it for a number of years and the main chef is the wife of the family team. The house red wine is excellent. Ogni cosi era buon. Questa ristorante e' nostra nuovo favorito.

We ate twice at Ristorante il Covo: first at lunch and another day at dinner. My wife declared If we lived here, this would be my favorite restaurant. Il Covo has a simple menu of about 6 appetizers, 6 first courses ,6 mains, plus a selection of pizzas. No pizza for us, but everything else was excellent. My sweetheart ordered an outstanding bowl of gnudi: a flourless gnocchi made with spinach and ricotta cheese. It was served with a cheesy cream sauce and topped with pistachio nuts. She made the slipper ' and mopped her bowl clean with a slice of bread. The pici pasta with a tomato sauce spiked aglione (a local variety of large garlic) was hearty and filling.
