"a dark evening that spent at the small prince, the prestigious bi-star restaurant located inside the hotel prince of Piedmont. location on the veranda along the road, anonymous and retro’, definitely not captivating and refined. good welcome, wide choice between the various menus, very wide the wine card. excellent, well-kept, tasty and innovative cuisine of the chef mancino, with dishes of absolute excellence such as pizzaiola. Unfortunately, during the evening, there were some unacceptable episodes for a local of this level. I am referring to : rice flour ravioli were not filled with kings crab, as provided by the menu on the website, but of stoccafisso, stopposo and much less attractive . the sommelier that after my choice of yellow red wine asks me: but do you know it??? instead of decantating the qualities and characteristics. save then justifying itself by saying that some customers ask for particular wines which then change because they do not like it! inadmissible for a star! Not to mention the maize that forgets for its own admission) to customize the dessert as requested by me twice in the reservation) on the occasion of the special occasion that had brought my wife and me to the little prince! Finally a word on the chef. at the end of the dinner hours with almost no one in the room, we asked to be able to greet and thank Mr. Mancino. They told us he was too busy and couldn't come. It is the first time I happen that the chef has not come to make a round of the tables at the end of the evening and I talk about people like beck, canavacciuolo , bartolini, aprea, lamantia, guide to quote only some Italians. but surely jeseppe mancino is more occupied than them! Finally the price. It would have been justified for a true star, but certainly excessive for the small proncipe, stars named, but not in fact!"

the restaurant develops along a beautiful window overlooking the promenade of Viareggio, the route we proposed was exceptional, but the praise that we assign it for the exciting path of wines recommended by a passionate sommelier! friendly and brilliant staff! super recommended! Ver carta

The best dinner I've ever had! Wasn't sure what can justify restaurant but now I agree. We took the 10 course chef voyage menu and everything was superb! For 4 hours we've received an art exhibition of flavors, colors and smells. Paired with great selection of wine and an incredible service that was a night to remember. If you go for the 10 course menu you should be very very VERY hungry!

I could give you six stars. best Italian restaurant protagonist tried so far. At first I was a skeptical for the location of some furniture I probably didn't include them. the fabulous degotation menu, with undisturbed courses were an unforgettable experience. another praise for the maitrè, which recommended us a large bottle to accompany everything by making us discover an exceptional cellar. We'll definitely come back.

This was one of the finest meals we ate in Italy on our honeymoon. It 's expensive, but the dishes are inspired. I appreciated how the chef riffed on typical Italian fare (pastas, cured meats, etc with creative combinations. (Tahini and tartare?? Who 'd have thought? I also ate a raw oyster with a small scoop of goat 's milk gelato. I would now like one of these to accompany every meal I eat, if possible. Wildly inventive, incredibly delicious. Ver carta

I want to start this review off by saying the service here was out of this world. Every one of my servers were amazing, kind, and knowledgeable. However, as far as the food goes it’s was the worst dinner I have ever had in my life. My wife and I choose a few things from the different tasting menus and every single thing was horrible and the pairings were atrocious. There were a few good small deserts that were given by the chef however even most of them were awful. It was so bad that ten minutes after dinner on our way back to our hotel my wife and I had to pull over multiple times because we got so sick from the food. Very disappointing especially considering it’s a 2 Michelin 500 euro dinn...

We went last night in four. we took the menu from 10 courses. 250 euro per head. all 10 excellent. very nice, pretentious location, unfortunately inside and not outdoor, in the premises of the hotel prince of Piedmont. very well the boys who served us, except for a sommelier or presumed such, with the cod, who did not get one. to the question: which wines combined with these 10 dishes? answered: Italian, French and German wines. So I knew how much earlier I asked for the rectius card in this restaurant “wine book”. we ordered a cadet chardonnay 2014 but there was no. we asked for 2013 but there was not even that while both were on paper. I ordered a bucci green villa 2013 and when we drank i...

"The food and the hospitality at this little spot are both spot on. You would be a fool to not visit here at least once during your time in the Tuscan seaside town of Viareggio. Unless you plan to make their dinner service right as they open, be sure to make a reservation in advance as the tiny spot fills up very quickly. From the moment we arrived for our dinner reservation the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and as if we were right at home. As soon as we were settled in, our waiter brought us a small welcome dish from the chef that he described to us a typical Tuscan soup. I don 't know what it was called but it was delicious! For our food, we ordered their tordelli with meat ragu sauce after our waiter informed us it 's a typical type of ravioli in that region. You 'll quickly learn as you travel through Italy that each region and often many towns and cities have their own unique ways of creating their pasta dishes that you can only find in that region. The recommendation was a good one because the dish was delicious! For our main, we ordered the Pork Steak Senese which consisted of pre-cut grilled pork with parmesan and balsmamic and grilled trevisano (a type of leafy green). It didn 't look the most appetizing when it was placed in front of us but looks can be deceiving because it was another delicious dish. To wrap up what was already an enjoyable meal, when our waiter brought our bill he also placed a small tray of almond biscuit cookies topped with powdered sugar, a dessert typical of the Tuscan region, as another compliments of the kitchen. Between the tasty food and the small gestures of hospitality, we will definitely be back to dine here if we ever found ourselves in Viareggio again."
