"At the end of August we wanted to celebrate my husband's birthday at Ilios. I called a day in advance to reserve a table on the terrace overlooking the water. I especially mentioned the birthday. When we arrived on the day (a party we were told that our table in the beer garden was ready. The beer garden is in the front of the building, next to the parking lot. Nowhere near the water. I worked as a waitress for many years in restaurants and I know that problems with reservations happen. Most of the time these problems can be overcome. All that is needed is some flexibility. When I wanted to discuss the problem with the owner he mentioned that the lady who took the reservation was not there and that he was not willing to set up a few tables for us by the water for this special occasion. He said that we can either sit in the beer garden or leave! Begrudgingly we sat down as it was too late to find an alternative. The tables overlooking the water are inside and we left early as it was got too cold to sit outside. I don't know what they would have done if it had rained. It would have been a lovely evening but instead we were all put off by the arrogance and unfriendliness of the staff. It's a real pity as the food is good and I would like to have become a regular, however that will definitely not happen. I'd like to add that I am fluent in German, so there wasn't really a lost in translation' problem with the reservation."

The most important issue is to reserve up ahead or you arrive punctually at opening time and you might then have luck The food was very good. We had grilled octopus, calmary with zucchini and aubergine. The atmosphere was good and cant wait to try...the restaurant in summer when the garden patio is open. Extremely friendly staff and professionally dressed. Great job guys.

Went here for dinner and had the mixed starter. The saganaki was perfectly breaded and not greasy at all. Served with homemade pita bread on the side, always a plus. Zaziki was well balanced. Gyros was for me a little bit on the greasy side...but the calamari were homemade and the rest of the meats were very good. Staff is friendly and the portion/price/quality ratio is PERFECT. Would definately visit again.

I'm not in the habit of writing bad reviews but unfortunately this was a bad experience. I was alone and arrived quite early, they were busy already. I spoke no German but the waitress was very helpful. The food was very poor, it just have...been waiting in the kitchen because my chicken dish arrived within minutes of being ordered. The chicken was hot, the veg and rice were lukewarm. The dishes were small for the money, I ordered a side dish which haven't arrived by the time I had slowly eaten my dinner.
