On our third visit to this restaurant now, and it continues to be excellent in terms of food, service and value for money. The staff are very polite, efficient and helpful and the food is plentiful and delicious. The team are to be congratulated on a very successful formula!

Thanks, best indian takeaway ive had in years, drove 30 minutes for this after being disappointed so many times with indian food in the past round the essex area..This was on a different level, you’ll know what i mean when you try it! Also,forgot to ask for mint sauce which i was gutted about and when i got home there was free poppodoms, mint sauce and chutney! I almost cried! thanks again guys 10/10

The food was delicious and the service second to none. It was New Years Eve and very busy but the waiters were so obliging friendly and helpful. At 12 o’clock bottles of Prosecco were placed on everyone’s table at no extra cost and everyone got up to welcome the new year. They did not charge a New Years Eve price just their normal prices which weren’t overpriced. Would definitely recommend and would go there again. Ver carta

We have eaten at this restaurant many times. Our recent visit was an early weekday evening. The place was very busy which is good, but the noise all around the restaurant was dreadful. People almost shouting across their tables to each other. As the noise grew people were having to shout. Had we not already been served, we would have left. Tip for the staff: when the clients are so noisy, you don't need to play music. It could only be heard at the toilets anyway. Food not quite up to usual standard.

we were here for a close friend who left dinner, the young are always amazing. service was great eating was great and the company was good. the appetizers I had garlic mushrooms and that was nice and the salat on the side was beautiful. for my head I had the tandoori mixed grill came the torte hot a sizzler teller was so delicious I had this with the garlic naan and that was nice. I had dessert the minze eis and it was divine. it is a must to visit. all others had a lot of curries and rice it was really good.

The service at this restaurant was excellent. We ordered a takeaway meal for a group of friends, which included a vegan/gluten-free guest. The staff were very accommodating in preparing dishes that met our dietary restrictions. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service at the restaurant for pick-up was very courteous and helpful. When there was a mistake with one of the dishes in our order, they not only included the correct item but also the mistake at no extra charge. I would highly recommend this place! Ver carta

We stopped at this restaurant on our way back home after a long day at the farm. The restaurant was nice, but the food was disappointing. All the dishes we ordered were topped with a lemon and tasted bland and inauthentic. I have never been to an Indian restaurant where the paneer wasn't actually paneer! When my 2-year-old niece accidentally spilled her milkshake, no one offered to replace it or even asked if we wanted another one. They simply cleaned up the mess and left us to continue our meal. It felt like the restaurant wasn't catering to Indian tastes, but rather was more popular with non-Indian customers.

After attending a show in town, my husband and I visited an Indian restaurant in Stratford for dinner. Despite the packed restaurant, we were accommodated right away. This was our first time at the restaurant, but we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The service was excellent, with our drinks arriving quickly. My husband enjoyed the Indian lager, and we were impressed with the fresh Poppadums served with chutney and pickles. Our starters were delicious and arrived promptly. The main course was the highlight of the meal - the best Indian meal we've had in a restaurant. The staff were busy but attentive, providing great service throughout our meal. I revisited Indian Ocean after such a wonderful dining experience a month ago. How does Sam (head waiter) do it is beyond belief. I tested him once again by leaving the food choice entirely up-to him after simply telling him what kind of meat I liked (chicken) how spicy. Not only did he come up with an exclusive meal for me it was once again totally delicious and faultless. The dish was perfect for my pallet and the meat was tender and cooked to perfection. The restaurants is spotless and faultless in my opinion. The staff are attentive BUT Not over the top or pushy in my opinion(do you want another drink every 5 minutes) etc. The food is the best Indian cuisine I have ever tasted in 30 year... Ver carta
