"I made the mistake of not calling ahead to book a table for dinner at a different restaurant and of course we were turned away, even though they seemed to only be half full. I walked out of the restaurant starving and hangry when my...husband said, Look, Injeera We both love Ethiopian food so this was a pleasant surprise to stumble upon. We walked up, opened the door, and we started to worry because this place was packed! A gentleman who I assume was the owner came up sat us at one of the last tables. We rejoiced in our luck!! We went ahead and ordered the platter for two which featured lentils, vegetables, amazing okra, succulent stewed chicken, and a spicy lamb stew all nestled on top of injeera. I had my dinner with an African tea blend which consisted of black tea, cardamom, and several other spices. At the very end of the meal were were using the last of the injeera to sop up all of the various fabulously spiced sauces, as one does. It was absolutely food heaven. We were so happy to find this little treasure in Stuttgart. It was very packed, and we were lucky, but I would probably recommend calling ahead. You wouldn't want to be turned away from this kind of comfort food."

this African restaurant is small, but good. they cannot be jammed. it is very clean in the small interior. they are sitting crippled together and holding a menu that is not too much, but enough dishes for every taste. big plus: the very short waiting time. tasteful: excellent. conclusion: happy again!

Extremely happy to have found this little Ethiopian food place off the busy tourists path. The food was truly delicious and down to earth. We ordered the mixed plate for two and we were totally full. The owner offered to bring us more injera but...what was served on the place was already plenty. Total thumbs up!

Ethiopian Eritrean cuisine are quite similar, but i've never had Ethiopian cuisine that even came close to the heavenly meal i just had at Injeera... In LA, there are or so Ethiopian restaurants on a small stretch of Fairfax Blvd below Olympic, and...i tried several dishes from many of them, wondering what all the fuss was about- flavors were indistinct, even a bit muddy- genuinely unimpressive!!! NOT so with Injeera's Eritrean food- from the smells wafting through the cozy space upon arrival, to the tables packed with smiling diners enjoying the food to the last drop, to the genuinely smiling owner, i feltright away that i was in for a singular experience- and it was, indeed, simply one of...

"Wow. Simply Awesome! Best dining experience my wife and I have had in several years, probably top all time, and we are real foodie snobs. They squeezed us in with only a couple hours notice. We got the course menu paired with wine....Little did we know that six courses in metric means First came the amouse bouse, a frothy chicken soup plus a croquette topped with dried mushrooms. Paired with wine of course. Then came a home made freshly baked baguette that was crazy delicious served with a dish of sour cream and chives as well as butter with pumpkin seeds. The bread was so good it could have been its own course, and the sour cream was the first of many unusual com I nations, but it worked. Next was a salad a combination of beet root, cabbage, Thai coconut milk and lemon grass. I hate beets and I loved this dish. Next wa the first actual course, duck liver pate and brioche with figs and wine sauce. Amazing! Now how about some slow cooked trout (which strongly resembled salmon) with tangerines and celery root. Then some white cod with Jerusalem artichokes and hazel nuts. Then, to cleanse the palate a glass of deer broth served in a glass like a brandy snifter. We're only halfway through. Now it's a slab of deer meat cooked like a tender steak, served with a cannelloni stuffed with deer and all set over mashed parsley root that could have passed as mashed potatoes. All garnished with an amazing deer gravy/sauce. Next comes some mont d'or cheese served with house made fruit bread, oranges, and rutabaga. Crazy com o but it was delicious. Now for dessert courses. Red wine sorbet. Think you're done? Next comes white chocolate ice cream serve with quince (purée, cubes, and foam) served with a chestnut parfait. Now we're stuffed, but time for another dessert: creme brulee paired with a chocolate brownie and a serving of mango mousse. Crazy good."
