Pie was great, veggie burger was great, beer was great! Speedy, fresh and tasty. Will be back soon when in the area

Visited here with friends whilst in the area, steak was great, service was friendly and overall nice location along the wye valley

Stopped for lunch while walking the Wye Valley Walk. Limited menu due to covid but food was hearty and good value. Extremely warm and friendly staff. Nice local ale.

somewhat disappointed by our visit today, eat in order, but the two workers in the bar were very miserable and seemed hesitant to even talk to us, let alone serve us!

Stopped by for Sunday lunch on a walk they managed to fit us in. Wow absolutely lovely food quality Sunday lunch highly recommend and lovely view overlooking the countryside and the castle.

today called to lunch after the visit of puzzlewood. the ordered drinks should only make sandwiches because there is no gas in the kitchen. must think we were fools as a parking lot full of people in suits and a car covered with tapes, so forget a high time. hopefully, the high-time guests enjoyed the choice of sandwiches! a bit honesty goes far. say they simply, can not eat hot because of a high time and it is acceptable, but please don't take them for fools!

It seemed as if they don't get many customers as we were treated with surprise on arrival. Do you have a menu? No. Oh, but you are doing lunch? Yes, OK, what is available? I don't know, what would you like? Erm, not sure...2 salads?...I will go and check. 5 minutes later...No, can't do 2 salads, what else would you like?...?...Wouldn't it be easier if you asked the cook what was available rather that this guessing game? Yes, I'll go and ask. OK, fish and chips or soup of the day? What is the soup of the day. I'll have to check you couldn't make it up. Finally we had 2 soups and bread and got out. Nothing special. They were not unpleasant, just useless.

eating here was very mediocre. the worst point, however, was the personal. very indifferent to the presence of customers and at times injustice. After our main courses were brought to us, we were completely ignored. I had to go into the bar. to ask for a desert menu that I took back to the table and expected someone to come and command one. but no one has done it. I do not often leave negative cries here, but I feel that I have a moral duty to warn people about this place. I have booked a table for Sunday that has just gone, most pubs in the opposite are packed absolutely on a Sunday so that the actual. it was empty at 1 o'clock had to tell us everything we need to know. we were met by rude fellow workers who have barely spoken and feel uncomfortable what was bad enough but eating. we all ordered the chicken roast and the carrots were raw, not aldente, completely uncooked, the bratkartoffels were also raw on the inside, greasy on the outside, we had a huge piece of chicken meat that was overboiled and all this was accompanied by the thinnest tasteless...
