"Located in a somewhat lost place in the countryside. To get there, take a narrow and winding road. The location is spartan to say little (not recommended for a romantic dinner on the first date but the reception of Roberto immediately creates a familiar climate, as if you were guests more than clients. The dishes are very good and not discounted, cured without squeezing the fashionable dining eyelet . strictly tuscan wine charter (the Ligurian ones are already foreigners : . We chose the menu if you trust and we were particularly pleased with the small ears with shrimp, asparagus and roasted eggplant cream. Fish is great and good value for money."

Local located in the countryside, inside a cottage. Good fish quality. The dishes are a mix of tradition and imagination of the chef. Prices a little over the average. Ver carta

If you don't look for it, you don't find it... Lost in the middle of the countryside, this restaurant run by two brothers and mother was a pleasant discovery. Sophistication and attention to the products of the territory join kindness, and to very abundant portions. Congratulations! Super recommended! !

I agree with the majority of reviews: great restaurant a little hidden (maybe better like this. Boy in the sympathetic and passionate room, cook (chef? really amazing: without anything to remove to the other restaurants finally something beyond frying and grilling. Excellent dishes, surprising and cared for. Fast service, honest account for quality. Bonus for local wines. I'm not a relative or a friend. I hope they stay like this, I'll be back a lot. We go there every year during our holiday week in Marina di Carrara and has always confirmed one of the best places for quality of food and price. Even today at lunch, three-course appetizer for two people (fish with muscles and goat ricotta, cod salad with red rice and stewed onion, polyp with red radicchio past in the pan), to follow linguine to the sea whirlpool and a fantastic risotto with the blueberries and shrimps with fried of scampi, not content the dessert (one divided in two, because we were already full as a wine What to add... Keep going!

Kitchen of land and sea absolutely discreet, certain dishes not particularly elaborate and also far away from certain modern styles that, today, seem almost necessary for a cuisine of higher level. The account is congruous, 73 euros for an appetizer, two first, a second and a dessert, water and half liter of the house. Careful and friendly service. They would be 4 balls but I confirm one less because the internal environment is too dated... and then it was cold..prorio in the sense of low temperature, and the thing is not so much pleasure, they could at least ask if it was okay...

"An Italian friend of mine had raved about this restaurant, so I said to let me know the next time she went. So on a Saturday evening 10 of us went to El Rey to eat. The place was decorated very nicely, bright colours and with very cheerful and efficient staff. The menu offered a relatively wide range of dishes. The resturant was much larger than I had expected from the little pub area outside. So far, so good. Then I ordered a Margarita. Hmmmm...perhaps the worst one I have ever had, it tasted like it had been made from some industrial powder pre-mix, just sour and strong. Maybe it is hard to get fresh ripe limes here in Italy. I didn't order another. On to the food. I ordered guacamole and enchaladas verdes. Hmmmm...not that they were bad as such, but both seemed to indicate that they had been prepared some time ago. I am a real guacamole freak, love the stuff. But although there was a large portion served, and with lots of chips (that did look home-made , the taste was not very exciting, any lime or spices were hardly detectable and the whole thing just seemed very bland and as if it had been made a good while before serving (also indicated by the colour of the avocado puré . Edible, but not the real pleasure that I get when making guacamole myself at home. Likewise with the enchaladas. The main flavour was salt, other spices were either absent or masked by the salt (which could have been better used in the guacamole . The dish appeared as a somewhat soggy, bland (but salty mass that had been prepared a long time earlier and re-heated. Our group was drinking beer by the pitcher, which maybe was OK, but with all the great microbreweries around these days, I don't drink much major brand beer anymore. However, it seemed to go down well with the others, so I guess I shouldn't fault it. If I had been alone, I would have tried one of the Mexican beers, there were a good number on offer. All in all, not a very exciting experience. Edible, but a far cry from the real thing. Even the other dishes that I sampled from my friends were only just OK. Maybe the problem is that the place is just too big, and it is very difficult to serve freshly-made food when there are crowds. Maybe the experience would be different on a normal weekday evening instead of on a crowded Saturday. But I am not sure I am inspired to try it again..."
