"I don't know how often I have been walking past this place wanting to go in but yesterday was the day. This place just looks really perfect for an outside drink after work - protected by the trees like a little oasis. When I walked in I thought I would never have to look for another beer garden anymore. Wooden benches for bigger crowds, elevated in the center or more quietly set up under the trees to the side and this set up has been completed by a few relaxed beach chairs and some loungy pieces to actually lay down... So far so good but then came the downside. Since I just been to Pratergarten a couple days back, I have a direct comparison of the service... At James June everything doesn't seem very well in sync and thought through. By ordering drinks and food at the same window the line can get very long. That itself wouldn't be a problem if the service people would be quick workers but that wasn't the case. Partially because the communication between cashier station, drink station and kitchen seems to be a bit messy... This results in waiting in line for 15 mins on a mediocre busy evening and then waiting another 20 mins on 2 Bratwürste...I really think this place has a lot of potential but they are just not quite there yet.Apparently their pizza is supposed to be good. So either way, I will be back to see whether I can make changes to this review or whether I have to leave it at that..."

endlessly waiting. we ordered and paid to eat, only 15 minutes later to say that the kitchen has closed. while they have made our order? I'm sorry, completely unprofessional

Nice discovery. Beergardens are surprisingly hard to find in Berlin. But stick to beer. Food was poor. Pizzas are talked up but my salami peperoni was the worst pizza I have ever had. One of party got ill through salmon too

happened to this place, but glad we did. the opposite is beautiful many tables and seats, but nothing too close together (covid times). drinks were reasonable enough and for us the service was really fast. will be happy to go back. also dog... friendly, that suits us.

This beer garden is just off Karl-Marx-Allee, which can feel a bit quiet if there isn't an event on.It is deceptively large and does the simple things- like large glasses of cold beer, very well indeed.Despite the fact it must get really busy sometimes, when we were there it felt like a bit of a hidden gem. we found this beautiful little beir garden next to the computer games museum. it is a classic set-up food and drinks that are bought at the counter, tables open (no reservations) and they can sit at the end next to people they did not yet know. Tap...beers were excellent (which they would expect otherwise in Germany), eating was simple (burger, pizzas) but reasonably priced and decent quality. the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. good amount of tree cover on hot afternoons.

Our burgers arrived with two different sauces and they fell apart. I didn't care for the spicy sauce. It's a shame they didn't offer it in a bottle or on the side. Food and drinks were too expensive for the quality. Burger was a formed patty, not fresh meat. The atmosphere is okay, but I didn't care for the music. There doesn't appear to be table service: order your food at the bar. There is a deposit for your drinking glass. There was no soap in the bathroom. There must be a better place to eat in the neighborhood!

We visited here on a Sunday afternoon and it was very quiet. This made food quick to order and a pizza for €8 is very good value. Having read reviews about the 12.5 litre beer and there being 9 of us we thought this would be a good option to share. At just over €70 it was good value but even straight from the fridge the keg wasn't cold enough and it turned into a bit of an effort pouring and drinking it. A good place to visit if you're in the area but maybe just for a cold pint or 2 from the bar and a pizza. We visited other biergartens that we thought were better. Ver carta

Discovered this place last summer and revisited this year. Not once, but in fact every night of our stay in Berlin. We love the easy-going atmosphere of this place and usually sit here for hours. The furniture is simple: Deck-chairs, low tables or benches. There is no service at the tables. The customers simply orders at the counter/bar. If you want something to eat, there is a selection of "snacks": Bratwurst, burgers, pizzas. Nothing fancy, but exceeding our expectations. The staff is always obliging. If we want more deck-chairs, or to move to another part of the garden, there is no problem getting assistance. This place is neighbour to the computer games museum. Parents can relax here whi...

We live around the corner and sometimes came here when it was still called "Oranke Orange". The new owners haven´t changed much. Part of the beer garden is now covered with lawn instead of dust and the drinks´ bar now has a shelf with longdrings in the background. Beer got more expensive and they don´t have the litre mugs any more. Beer prices got up, too, to 3,50 for 0,5 l, which is quite steep for self service in my eyes.We were greeted friendly and asked if we need sand digging toys for our kid. Staff at the drinks section was quite nice. This is the place, where you also order your food. You get some coupons then, that you give to the staff at the food counter. When I got there and waved...
