"We looked online for restaurants in Carmarthen and were a little non plussed by this one what was it offering?. While walking round the city we came across it by accident and decided to take a chance. BTW it 's not easy to find it 's upstairs above an ? estate agents. But we weren 't disappointed. They were very welcoming and helpful, The food was all home cooked and very Welsh , including laverbread. We chose the cockles which were delicious and locally sourced and faggots and mushy peas with great chips which we haven 't had since we were kids but it was delicious. They then tempted us with quite delicious desserts we chose chocolate and orange cheesecake with cream fabulous! If we lived locally we live in London we 'd be regulars. Great job by the cooks and FOH staff. Thank you for a great experience and as we said, very good value."

"An absolute gem of a place. Deri and the team have hit the nail right on the head with every single wonderful detail the relaxed ambience, the beautiful decor, the delicious menu, the impeccable service. Perfect in every way. An added bonus is that it's dog friendly and there's plenty of room for new bubbas in prams. Hats off to you!"

"Lovely surroundings, decor and more importantly the food. Always queue but that’s because they are good. A victim of their own success, dues to demand they are quick to get you out!!! I did in enjoy the food, but extremely busy with a frantic buzz. Didn’t find it calm or chilled. Constantly having waiters try to remove my plate even though I had not finished and still eating! Trying to rush you to the next stage, to pay or leave! Seems like it’s a table per hour or less if they can. BUT food was good. Staff were polite and attentive, but with the aim to move you through to the end asap. Would go again, but not with the aim to relax, just as a meal and then move on!"

"Visited with my wife for a Sunday evening dinner. Still plenty of diners do on Sunday evening that’s got to be a good sign. Really like the style and atmosphere of the place. All the staff were very friendly and competent. Now the highlight the food! To start I had the crab dressed in mayonnaise with mango and my wife had the duck and orange pate both absolutely delicious. My wife had roast chicken with dauphinois potatoes for her main and thoroughly enjoyed it, I had fillet cooked perfect medium rare, wonderfully seasoned and caramelised on the outside with triple cooked chips (appear to be real homemade ones not frozen) and a blue cheese butter and the flavour in that steak was incredible. My wife had the salted caramel and Biscoff sundae for dessert (sublime) and I had a (perfect) French coffee with lovely homemade petit fours the white chocolate fudge is easily one of the nicest things I’ve tasted. We had a couple of bottles of superb Pinot noir with the meal and the wine list looks to be very thoughtfully curated."
