Came here for our 2 visit for our anniversary was absolutely brilliant great staff food outstanding great service a nice little ice cream treat for our anniversary definitely worth a visit

Went for lunch. Staff were very welcoming and the pre lunch coctail was excellent. Food and ambience were great and the waitress went out of her way to make sure we had an excellent time. Great value for the location as well. A really nice experience and will return.

not vegetarian friendly at all! the ONE main on the menu that was veggie was the baked aubergine. neither of the risottos they had were vegetarian, as they both have parmesan in them that is apparently impossible to not include. The chips were good, and the drinks were decent, but overall pretty slow service and they got multiple orders wrong throughout the night. Ver carta

I have been going to Joe Allen for years and decided it would be a good venue for a farewell dinner for my two eldest sons who are embarking on a two month tour of Asia, starting today. The food as always was very good burgers ribs etc but all just what you want. But I have to say what really makes Joe Allen stand out is the service which was wonderful... attentive and friendly without being overly familiar or annoying. It is so important to get it right and it was just perfect! Thank you to everyone there on Sunday 4th Feb!

Dined here after the matinee at the Lyceum. We were asked if we wanted water with the meal. We always say yes, but after a bottle was brought to the table and poured, we realised too late that it was chargeable. We both ordered the 'secret ' bacon and cheeseburgers. My bacon was so chewy that I had to spit it out, inedible. We 've had much better burgers in our local pubs. Desserts, vanilla cheesecake, and pecan pie were good. Some live music could be heard in the distance but hidden from view somewhere. Been looking forward to coming here for years, so disappointing. Lots of people say it was better at the old location.

Advise to pre book this very popular iconic restaurant. We used to visit at its previous site and this was the first visit to the new premises. They have created, moving many architectural look’s), the same homely fun atmosphere and employ the same people friendly staff who will do anything to please. Everything is fun about this place great to visit being a Londoner or European..guess Americans have many such restaurants in their own country! Food and wine was great..look at all the photos on the walls to see past and present personalities that love Joe Allen’s I wish them many more successful years here at new premises I say new I think it was 2017 when we first found out it was ,after 40... Disappointed. Wanted to go to Joe Allen’s for ages so booked this evening to eat before the theatre. I booked for 6pm but it was after 6.20 when we were finally shown to a table and even that was only because I asked what was happening. We had to make quick choices and then eat at speed. When the lacklustre waiter cleared our plates he asked if we wanted anything else in a tone so jaded that we actually laughed. We said we’d look at the menu but that we didn’t have a lot of time. He never came back so we sought someone out, got the bill and legged it, arriving in our theatre seats two minutes before curtain up. Felt cynical and disinterested, shame because the food was good. We booked a table for 7pm, we were led to believe the place was busy so changed plans elsewhere to be able to be they're for 7pm. When we arrived at the restaurant ot looked as though it was just opening, there were no customers in! The greeter said they had been busy but it had just emptied so would we like a drink while they cleared the table for us? We ordered a bottle of prosecco and took a seat in the bar area. After 20 minutes we were told that the kitchen closed at 7.30pm!!! We hadn't even been seated! We decided to just have the drink and go somewhere else the next massive disappointment was £45 for a bottle of prosecco that they then added a service charge for £51+ absolutely disgus...

I arrived 10 mins early for our 8pm booking so, as my partner was running late, I sat at the bar to order 2 Dirty Martinis, so his would be ready on arrival. It is lucky the wall behind the bottles is mirrored, as I had to keep checking to make sure that at a chunky 185lbs, I wasnt suddenly invisible... Several barmen went about their duties and having served the guests to my right, then having a natter among themselves, they then asked the couple if they wanted another drink, while I again checked the mirror to make sure I hadn 't been the subject of some scientific experiment, but NO!
