Delicious lunch, the pancko halloumi was yum. Service excellent. Beer good with a beautiful view. Perfect lunch date spot.

Great pub atmosphere, however the barmaid might want to learn a few customer service skills. Other than one member of staff, this does not reflect on the business.

Went for dinner with my boys and dad, roast dinner was lovely. My boys are very fussy and had the chicken strips with salt chilli chips, they said it was the best. Will definitely be going back. Nice to have a local with decent food. Ver carta

Booked for fathers day. Had main meals and puddings. Food was very nice, although could do with a bit more salad on the side to the main meals. Puddings couldn't fault. Prices were good as well as service. Seems better now it's changed hands.

Sat outside, sadly no sun spots available. Ordering from table was not obvious, so my partner went in to ask and a kind waitress took our order, it arrived more quickly than that of a nearby table who had placed order by app. Pleasant drink. Pleasant surroundings looking over the boats in the harbour.

Lived here 50 years and never been here! Approached by boat, rowing from Old Portsmouth in a 1930's heritage Galley. Had a beer and bowl of chips... modern decor but lovely style... low key and tidy. Made welcome... beer good (Doombar); chips excellent and generous (just a bit slow)... Great views over Portsmouth Harbour.. Ver carta

Find this pub last year when visitig friends really liked it been back a few things since new year and its not been the same the red head girl is nice and friendly also the blonde lady made it a warm welcome i havent seen her this year yet). the food is ok but nothing special. prices are average hopefully visit again when weather gets better and feels like it did first few times i was there.....

the view is interesting: harbour, old warship, burg, forts, sailing boats etc. all portsmouth and gosports waterfront from a significantly different angle. the menu was limited today (i.e. we were told at the arrival that only the burgers and a selection of fritten were available, not that the menu itself is limited if properly available), but the food we had was well and well presented. in particular, the Burger beer was remarkable that it was precooked to give it a delicious bagel-like crust. the staff was very friendly and the local friendly and linguistic. a good place for a quiet bite.

The burger bun in particular was notable for having been pre-boiled to give it a delicious bagel-like crust. The staff were very welcoming and the locals friendly and talkative too.
