"While vacationing from Vancouver, visiting relatives in Wilhelmshaven for a week, my brother & his wife took my husband and I to " Der Spieker " for a special dinner after visiting the delightful village of Bad Zwischenahn. We loved this beautiful rustic and historic Bauernhaus Restaurant very much. It had a wonderful atmosphere and ambience during our meal. My husband does not speak German and while I was trying to translate, our very friendly waitress handed him a menu in English. She was dressed in the traditional costume of the Ammerlaender area we were told. The food was all very delicious especially my dinner of Bratherring & Crispy Fried Potatoes. My brother had the Suelze with Fried Potatoes which he orders every time he comes to this Restaurant. My husband's favourite beer is Erdinger Weissbier and was quite happy to see it on the menu as well as the "Weber Spezial" which he enjoyed! We will definitely come back next time we are in Wilhelmshaven! I would recommend this Restaurant highly for anyone visiting the beautiful village at the Lake."

"yesterday evening on recommended by friends in this restaurant, which is known for its fish kitchen and regularly offers a fish buffet on the 1st Wednesday in the month. few guests sat on very tastefully covered tables, which were in a cozy dining room. we have had only matte after housewives and a dish with smoked aal, forelle and lachs. with a small greeting from the kitchen, which consisted of a small tasty homemade tasty and 2 small three-cornered ammerländer full grain bread, the tasty began. next, a small rechaud was first set up and made curious about others. the fish dishes then served by chefin (?) were kindly prepared and calculable. the incense fish cellar was very well occupied with several fish pieces of the 3 fish and an salat garnish. a non-penetrating meerrettich sauce and 2 slices toast with 2 pieces butter made the thing complete. remarkably the mildly smoked fish that were very well versed with the butter toast and the sauce. the secret of the rechauds was ventilated by the fact that he had aromatized for the corresponding warmth of the bratkartoffeln, very nice with little fat, but for that he had flavored small speckstückchen. the portions of matte (2 double fillets) were in a delicious apple onion sauce, which was in turn plentiful and pleasant. to fish you need a herbes beer and then a full corn - both there is in the ohrwegian crawl! we have tasted it very well, the service was very friendly and we were all satisfied and will come back again!"

"a great team that brings great evenings! also I was a great and faithful fan of the hearts floris and bittligmeier - but feel comforted. They used to meet, no matter when, well-known. tout oldenburg sat at the few tables. they knew each other. that is different - but not worse. a propos bad: certain areas of the house have already been appreciated (toilettes.) now the apicius is dekerned and more beautiful than ever. the Amuse-Gueule gave to the most beautiful hope, the first floor (seed pot liver) was very convincing. the star was already justified for me. the lobster excellent (the steinbutt also,) the deaf was one of the best I have ever seen great: the card hid classic luxury kitchen. and the kitchen also redeemed this promise, not without a type of twist here and there. Sorry for the arrogance, but for me the price-performance ratio is counted. if I have top quality on the teller, I like to spend 10 € more!And the quality is right here all the way!The look into the menu started as promising: fasan, wild boarragout, carpaccio vom Hirsch...so what you usually get only in Tuscany!I decided for the kalbbries on fritted artichoken than appetizer. my quality was the delicious! Afterwards homemade band noodles with brokkoli, mussels and estragon fragrance....Shortly: I was in the sky! the visit here has reconciled me for all disappointments at the so-called 'Nobel Italians' of the last few years. the ambiente is a bit of anxious and not quite stylistic, but from the food quality, this restaurant can easily keep with the top-Italo addresses in hamburg or with a few. at the end I was poorer for two courses incl. wein and espresso 50€ - but eating was worth every cent!"

"Können die guten Bewertungen nicht bestätigen. Hatten Seelachs mit Kartoffeln: nicht schmackhaft. Der Salat dazu war eiskalt und die Möhren darin schon vertrocknet. Das Labskaus war undefinierbar. Niemals frisch gemacht. Einzig die rote Beete war gut. Die Toiletten sind sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Überhaupt nicht zu empfehlen. Rausgemissenes Geld! Food: 1"
