"The Greek Restaurant Alte Post in Laufenburg, Germany has a menu with a nice mixture of dishes. Not to many, so making a choice is a joy rather than a hassle. All the dishes are prepared with high quality ingredients and served in a way that not only the stomach can enjoy good food but also your eyes can enjoy a nice view of the plate. The personnel is trained very well in hospitality and shows that they have pleasure in dealing with the guests. The restaurant itself has three areas. One is the ancient but well preserved and maintained old post area. The second is a modern decorated part. And last but not least a beer garden with a breath taking view on the river Rhine and the medieval part of Laufenburg (Switzerland). All in all it's a warm recommendation from my side. Go there and have a try."

"This recession refers only to the lunch buffet! And that was a pretty disappointment. It does not refer to the a la carte menus. I can't judge. I was there on Saturday, on time for the opening at 11.30 a.m. Despite the not so heavily visited restaurant, the buffet was constantly empty. This also means that the cheap €14 is too much. Very small selection, most dishes picked (Pommes Potatoes Nuggets and some undefined fried things Only 4 genuine typical dishes. No beef, no seafood, prawns. Sushi from the bar. Bust too small (also in the room). Conclusion: The buffet is not recommended from my point of view, even if the quality of the food I have eaten is okay. However, very well visited, many seemed to order a la carte."

"My husband and I first visited this restaurant a good few years ago and since then Laufenburg has meant to us nice memories of good Greek food. This restaurant used to be on the German side of the Swiss border post at Laufenburg which was a cute crossing over the river into Switzerland. We finally returned and found that the border post had been moved but the bridge over to Switzerland is still there and available for walkers or cyclists. This means that from the Swiss side one can park and walk over the river to enjoy German prices! We shared a starter, had a main course each and 5 drinks which came to €45 which is very good if you compare to Swiss prices. So, no passports needed if you are out on an afternoon ride in Switzerland!The food was good, we were early and even though it was mid-week, the restaurant was full, many of them Swiss!"

"Rooms: Super saubere Zimmer und Bad. Wer unbedingt auf absolute Ruhe und Dunkelheit angewiesen ist, um schlafen zu können, sollte sich eine ruhigere Lage suchen bzw. mind. Ohrstöpsel einpacken, aber ich habe ohne Probleme geschlafen. Food drinks: Schöner Biergarten mit sehr leckerem Essen zu fairen Preisen und mit nettem Service. Auch der Innenbereichen des Gasthofs sah gemütlich aus. Rooms: 5"
