I called in to watch the Champions League footie and enjoy an evening meal. Julie behind the Bar recommended Beef Bourguignon and it was great! :

Everything nuked! Puts Oppenheimer into insignificance! Should come with a warning to bring ur own oven gloves. Sauce came in a nuked side pot and has a skin on Burger bun hot too!!?? Needed a quick food fix and gave it a chance! Oops Ver carta

Called in for evening meal and a drink. Food was excellent as was the beer. No wonder the Chicken and Pulled Ham Pie won a National Pie Award! All staff were friendly and attentive. Special mention for Julie who went above and beyond. Will definitely return.

This pub was very welcoming and the food exceeded our expectations for a chain restaurant. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They even allowed our dog inside and had dog treats available for purchase. We visited twice during our weekend holiday and will definitely be returning next year. Thank you.

Not often I leave reviews but was rea impressed with everything here tonight. Very busy but lady behind bar and also the manager were courteous and nothing was too much trouble fir them. Food was lovely and very good value.. expected to wait quite a while but was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it arrived. The pub food was mediocre at best. We were disappointed with the overcooked macaroni and cheese, warm rocket salad, and oily focaccia. My partner ordered the hunter's chicken, which was also overcooked and the sauce was too spicy to enjoy. It seems like the quality of the food has declined at this restaurant in Wroxham. The tables were wobbly and worn, and the interior was uncomfortably cold. We probably won't be returning anytime soon.

Monday lunch time, not busy but a 45 minute wait for food so we opted for a drink and sit in the large beer garden by the river, a lovely location on a beautiful day. Whilst queuing for drinks the interior was a bit shabby and had cringey inspirational quotes written on the walls. The barmaid had an awful attitude, rude abrupt and no interest to the point she seemed bored and ill- mannered. I found the prices expensive and the beer substandard. A lovely location in need of better recruitment. No return trade from us.

From all we'd read, this pub should be an ideal spot to eat dinner on a summer evening by the river. When we went there, it certainly looked ideal which is why we stopped and went to the bar to order food. For some bizarre reason, when the pub was far from busy, we were told there would be an hour's wait for food. This was at 8pm and they stopped serving food at 9pm so we weren't sure how that was going to work. An hour? When there was hardly anyone there? I guess that's why it was quiet... and also why people were sitting in their riverside beer garden eating fish chips from the chippy across the road. Which is where we went instead. Ver carta
