"Lovely thatched roof pub within easy reach of the great beach (couple of miles). Very cosy bar with open wood fire. It 's worth a visit to see the actual bar itself made from reclaimed timber from old solid drawers and cupboards... a work of art. Hosts very friendly, and the menu while small had a good selection of tasty sounding dishes. I 'd much rather have a limited choice of well cooked food, than masses of mediocre servings. My 'Grimsby Haddock with Chips and Mushy Peas ' was well cooked, and very filling. My only criticism is that the homemade batter could have been a touch more crisp. My wife chose one of the two specials 'Whole Sea Bass ', and it looked spectacular. It was simply cooked with lemon (all that was necessary), served with new potatoes, and fresh vegetables. Well worth another visit soon in our campervan to try one of the other specials!"

A lovely thatched roof pub. We had a drink sat outside at lunchtime as it was very mild. We always visit while here on holiday.

My friend made a reservation for a party of six on June 19th, and the food was absolutely delicious. The chocolate pudding was wonderfully light. Jackie and Dave were fantastic hosts—Jackie graciously showed us around the restaurant, which had a lovely atmosphere. We had a fabulous night!

Although they had only just opened due to COVID the welcome was warm, they were only able to supply sandwiches and fries. The portion size was huge the ham was thick cut the fries crispy and really nice. My wife chose Tuna mayo they arrived as a triple decker there must have been a whole can of Tuna in the huge sandwich. Such a lovely place really hope it reopens properly

we stayed in haven golden sands and wanted to talk for a nice pub lunch at a place that accepted dogs. we were welcomed by the really friendly owners and there was even a dog bed for our dog. the menu was varied with beautiful specialties and the food was cooked at home and super delicious. we would recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal, and we will definitely be back when they return to the opposite. Thank you.

The food was absolutely delicious! We enjoyed the most flavorful chicken and ham cakes, served with a crisp, fluffy dough and fresh vegetables. For dessert, we indulged in the sticky toffee pudding, which was fantastic, as well as the chocolate pudding chosen by my partner. Jackie came out from the kitchen to say hello to our puppies, and she was very friendly. She mentioned that if we ever wanted to return with our caravans, she would make space for us. Dave and Jackie are wonderful hosts, and we will definitely be back!

We visited the King's Head Inn last night as a party of six for a meal and drinks. The food was beautifully presented and freshly prepared, accompanied by delightful sides. After a brief pause following our main courses, we indulged in desserts and more drinks. We were then given a fascinating tour of the building, although we didn't encounter any ghosts! Overall, it was an excellent evening for all of us. Many thanks to Jackie and Dave for providing a fabulous dining experience and a wonderful night filled with great conversation.

"We have been to Lady B's before and have generally found it to be satisfactory. The decor is a bit old-fashioned but acceptable. This time, we just wanted a light lunch/brunch so we ordered a toastie, a panini, green tea, and earl grey tea. Pretty simple! We both prefer our tea without milk or sugar, but it was served in a pot with a teabag, making it too strong. We removed the teabags and requested a teapot of hot water to adjust the strength of our tea, but we were given a mug-sized jug of hot water instead. The food came with a few crisps and a small bowl of lettuce with a cherry tomato on top, but no dressing. When we asked for sauces, they were provided in small dishes. The toastie was fine but not very filling, while the panini was better filled but oddly crispy, as if it had been cooked in an air fryer. While eating, we finished our teas and once again requested a pot of hot water, but were given a mug-sized jug. We did manage to get a second cup of tea. Overall, the experience was unexciting but okay, so we paid the bill and left. On the way home, my wife asked about the cost, which was £20.60. I hadn't checked the bill earlier, but when I did at home, I was surprised and upset to see that we were charged 75p each for the sauces and 20p for each jug of water, totaling £1.90. It was never mentioned that these items would come at an additional cost, making us question if this had happened before. It seems unfair that we weren't compensated for not having milk or sugar in our tea, yet were charged to fix its excessive strength. Being offered sauce and dressing as though it was complimentary and then being charged a high amount for it seems unfair. The food was decent, but in our opinion, not worth the price. Our advice to others is to check everything carefully and be aware of what is provided and what is charged for. We will not be returning to Lady B's."
