"I discovered this place by accident, though quickly became a regular for lunch. The food is usually very good, with some great salads and home made cakes. The problem with this place though is the availability of menu items. They did a great salad deal with three items for approximately £8, with food like curried chickpeas, garlic mushrooms and tomato and mozzarella salads to choose from. The issue is that they don't have these on every time, limiting the choice available. Baguettes and foccacia sandwiches were great, but they take so long to make them even when they're not that busy, and service can be slow even getting to the point where you're waiting for it to cook. 20+ minutes for a homemade soup seemed an excessive wait and up to fifteen minutes for them to heat a pre-prepared foccacia with chicken, salad and barbecue sauce (really nice from here). Went to have lunch here again in March 2015 and all of the Knead Food signs have gone and all of the previous waiting staff were missing. The menu and cakes all seem to be there still however, so not sure if they have just taken over or if the menu will change completely."

Enjoyed their club sandwich however found the place very cold and overpriced for what you get. Service was average nothing special

We visited the cafe for lunch, food was lovely but the service was terrible. The staff were slow, took ages to clear our table and for the drinks to arrive. We piled up the plates for them but still they preferred to wipe a high chair, right next to us rather than clear our table.

Reasonably priced with a fairly standard menu: all-day breakfast, sandwiches and jacket potatoes, for example. The jacket potatoes were good but the salad garnish was meagre(mostly leaves) and tossed in balsamic dressing: not to everyone's taste. The service was friendly but slow and not particularly proactive.

Had seen this café while passing by and finally decided to try it. I wasn't disappointed. Service was prompt and friendly and the open plan lay out added to a buzzing atmosphere. The menu is very tempting and it took a while to decide. Eventually, I ordered a wrap with roasted vegetables and brie divine! Cakes and desserts looked very tasty. Will be returning.

Located in a hidden corner of Florence Walk, this charming café was a lucky discovery for us. It was bustling with locals, which comes as no surprise considering the warm service and delicious food. Every dish we saw being served looked tempting. Although we are not locals ourselves, we would highly recommend a visit to this café in Bishops Stortford. It's definitely worth it.

Wow!!! This restaurant is a wonderful place to dine. I ordered a chicken burger with chips and salad, and the chips were absolutely amazing - the best I've ever had. I hope they never change them. They also had a variety of delicious cakes and freshly baked bread. My daughter tried a homemade sausage roll and raved about how tasty the pastry was. My partner had a BLT and couldn't stop talking about how superb the bacon was. We will definitely be back here again soon.

This café is normally busy when I pass by. Now I know why. Most of the tables were taken, but found a table for two. Greeted by a friendly waitress, who soon took our order. Ordered Tea, coffee, Bakewell tart, and a sausage sandwich. Within 10 minutes the order was served. Wow! the sandwich was large. They do not scrimp on the filling. Plenty of sausage and tasty too. The tart was also very tasty. Tea was a bit weak, but coffee good and strong. Total cost about £10 that I think is good value. Well worth a visit. Service and food quality above average.

We have visited this restaurant multiple times in the past and have usually had a good experience with the food. However, during our most recent visit, we were disappointed by the lack of acknowledgement from the staff. Despite sitting down at a table near the kitchen and being in clear view of several employees, we were ignored and not given any menus. After waiting for a few minutes, another group of customers arrived and were promptly greeted and seated at the table next to us. Feeling overlooked, we decided to leave and ended up having a wonderful meal at Baroosh instead.

The place is really lovely and the building is quirky so on first impressions, a great start. The food looked amazing and the home made cake selection was off the chart good. What made this experience less than amazing was the service was so cold and impersonal. I was ignored firstly by no less than 4 people, when someone eventually asked if they could help, I said I wanted to order and she pointed to the till down at the end hidden by 2 large guys ordering and told me to order there and off she went. I ordered and no smiles, not pleasantries. I then orders cakes to takeaway and again, nothing. I tried to engage in a smile and chat but nothing. My takeaway sandwich was ready on the pass and...
