"I called at this fish and chips restraunt in Pontefract on Wednesday July 3rd, It is close to the bus station, on the way to the market. Knights is immaculately clean, there is seating for 20 , with one table for 4, and the rest are tables for 2. They have a senior citizens special which includes tea bread and butter. I ordered large haddock with small portion of chips. With tea, it was delicious , well presented not at all greasy, beautiful white fish and light crispy batter. Well worth £10-50. The staff are smartly dressed, in uniforms. Table tops are sprayed clean after every customer It is wheelchair disability accessible. This will be a regular treat when I shop in Pontefract again."

It had been a long time since I had fish and chips, but these were definitely worth the wait. Some people may say it's expensive, but you truly get what you pay for!

Called in yesterday for a first visit that will not be the last. Best fish and chips I have ever had. Beats all others in the area. Very clean restaurant with friendly and helpful staff. Couldn't be more pleased, excellent food at a fair price. Many thanks.

Eat in. Cracking fish chips ! Slightly disappointing to be told they didn’t have any haddock but the cod was amazing, chips were good, and the curry sauce was the best I’ve tasted in a chippy ! Not at all greasy. The whole restaurant looked spotlessly clean and the young man who served us was a credit to the establishment.

Paying over £7 for fish and chips and a carton of curry seems steep, especially at a seaside town like Pontefract. The restaurant is in a good location and the staff were friendly, but the service was slow during peak hours. Additionally, for those prices, I expected a larger portion size, which unfortunately was not the case.

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. I am a regular customer here and I always enjoy the amazing chicken nuggets and chips. The staff are incredibly friendly and always remember my order. I would definitely recommend this as the best fish and chip shop to my friends and family. The staff always have smiles on their faces and are very helpful and polite. As someone who works for the NHS, I truly appreciate their service. Their fish is also really delicious.

The service here is great. The fish is haddock and the batter is cooked in dripping (giving it a taste second to none)! Due, no doubt to the Coronovirus outbreak, there was only one other group of three in the restaurant when I arrived, but, as I am a slow eater another group of two, followed by another single person, also came and went whilst I was still there. The whole place is clean and cheerful and the staff are helpful and attentive. Like Arnie I will be back

Every time we revisit my home town, our priorities are knights and Bluebell(Went ridge) Knights has to be the best fish n chips in Yorkshire, including Wetherby Whaler and Murgatroyds, because of the super friendly staff and value for money. Always eat in with perfect Yorkshire tea, bread n butter and of course a huge bowl of mushy peas, all for a Tenner. We recommend Knights to any visitors to Pontefract. Please note last orders in restaurant at 5.30pm, take out closes at 7.30pm.

"Exploring the outskirts of Leeds led me to discover the gem that is Corarima, a gluten free, vegan haven in Wakefield. As someone currently navigating a gluten free journey, stumbling upon this Abyssinian vegan/gluten free restaurant was a true delight. Opting for the combination platter for two was a journey through a sensory layer cake a symphony of tastes and smells expertly presented. We embraced the experience, relishing the deliciousness with our hands, a practice met with the owner's delighted approval. The host, a charming and attentive soul, took us on a culinary tour, passionately detailing each dish. He was so warm, Friendly and attentive without being over bearing. The decor added to the warmth, creating a homely ambiance that made this dining experience extraordinary. In the realm of UK dining, Corarima has secured its spot among our favorites. It's more than a restaurant; it's a rare and complete experience, a testament to the charm and authenticity of Abyssinian cuisine. I wish we lived closer as we’d visit regularly for sure! Dietary restrictions: I’ve recently had to go gluten free whilst also being vegan so it was wonderful to relax knowing that the menu was accommodating of my dietary requirements Kid friendliness: Whilst we were dining a family arrived with a young baby and the host was so charming and attentive with the baby. Engaging with the baby as if it was any other diner (even offering to take his order)!"
