"After I was awakened with the scent of freshly baked apple cake on this sunny Sunday morning and my blood sugar level immediately dropped dramatically, after a quick coffee I decided to start the day relaxed with a small Italian treat. With last strength and shaking hands a short online search started, two to three “Oh sounds good! Oh, closed Sundays!” or “Oh, not bad! Arghh, pizza only from 5 pm!” later my blood sugar level was still in the basement, my blood pressure was on the move in dizzying heights. At that time, however, I noticed that during the course of the meal the enjoyment was heavily cloudy, an extremely muffy, shameful smell that reminded of a damp cellar. I thought, first, that the door to a storage room or the like might have been briefly open, but my accompaniment soon noticed the smell, it seemed like it was in the room. Appetizer Lachs Carpaccio – 6,90 € Pinot Grigio “de la casa” There is nothing in front of the house, so I was glad that the very well-established kitchen crew in the open kitchen that can be seen for me immediately began to prepare my appetizer. Along with a basket of a unfortunately a hint of old Italian bread was soon served, the desire for some olive oil was happy and friendly. The bread reminded of the variant prepared with Semola di grano duro and was quite tasty despite the light patina, the olive oil was fruity, slightly grazy and of acceptable quality. The Carpaccio (the spirits have been fighting since ancient times, whether it shouldn't be called Pescaccio... unfortunately missed any sophistication, but for this price was also not groundless disappointment. The smoked salmon, however, was rather down-to-earth provenance and tastefully so inconspicuous that it should not only remind me of the breakfast buffet of a middle-class hotel chain. Rucola, for my terms of fish completely inappropriate parmesan, a little tastefully also not really exciting balasmico and centrally a lump lemon. All perfectly edible, but I am honest, the best at the appetizer was the well-cooled and drinkable wine, which was a positive surprise for an open white wine with an Italian of this price class. Pizze Pizza Salsiccia – 9,90 € Pizza Tonno – 6 € After serving a pizza with Salsiccia to sit in a fennel cloud, surely every fan of the Italian sausage product is enthusiastically noticed. So where the nose was still rejoiced, the eye was pampered: feeling 2kg of cheese made the pizza go visually into the Hawaii Toast area and after Mozzarella it did not necessarily look. The tongue then confirmed the arrogance of the viewing organ immediately, it was even so much cheese that it had reached the melting point in the core and was already on the table in the direction of room temperature again. Unusually the lining, the sausage meat of the Salsiccie is initially swung in the pan, additionally flavored with anise and fennel for safety and subsequently forms the top layer in addition to coreless blackened olives, under the cheese there was still generously used Spianata Calabrese. Nice of Signore: In his demand for satisfaction, I politely praised the Spianata, whereupon he rushed into the kitchen and served us every one of us for tasting – “The best thing to get in Europe!” he proudly announced. We both felt the dough of the pizzas as too soft and thick here the photos may be a bit foolish, which together with the cheese Overkill unfortunately also resulted in extremely fast saturation. Although the choice of my accompaniment is the favorite pizza of the same, half was not consumed (almost the entire interior and also there was no desire to carry the rest in the carton home untypical. The conclusion of my pizza is also more delicate, as tasty as the roast and the Spianata was, unfortunately, the whole thing suffered from the centimeter of Gouda, which in many respects caused tasteful collateral damage. After the meal, a very decent espresso once again ensured unobtrusive positive sensations, a wonderful crema, a great aroma in nose and on the palate, this is highly recommended! The payment was cash, the adoption friendly and the magnificent panoramic view of Wuppertal was even worth an extra photo on this sunny day in February. Conclusion Here you can eat easily and inexpensively, an everyday Italian who is guided decently. Culinary big deeds should not be expected, but one does not have to fear a nepp. The service was nice and appropriate to the setting, empty glasses are not filled, for that one is in place with advice and deed and offers warm hospitality. The ambience in the guest room was acceptable if you have to act here in what cramped, simple circumstances. Unfortunately, this and also the impression of cleanliness suffers somewhat due to the mentioned odor nuisance, even the toilets lying outside the building in every respect are extremely refurbishment as in need of reconciliation, there is surely Plumpsklos with more ambience and well-being factor. Price performance absolutely fine, 34 euros I found acceptable for bids in total. Only, I would not come back in the near future, despite the beautiful view, there are clearly better alternatives for me with less approach.
