La Baia Dóro Restaurant

A very small neighborhood Italian restaurant with medium quality, poor service and expensive prices. I would not recommend it at all.

Very understated, a bit out of the way but well worth the effort. From the Dom it approx 15min on foot. Food was fantastic, good service and very good value for money.

Waiter was not very hospitable. Served dish we didn't order and didn't even bother to apologise for it. Asked for dessertmenu, but haven't seen waiter again. Truly wonder how they got any positive reviews.

Had some typical italian food here. Visited the place a little late around 22pm. Got the feeling they rather wanted us out, as there was no communication. Not even an 'enjoy your meal' or 'need anything else?' Pity because the food and prices were good.

Tried this as it was close to my hotel. Food was well priced, very fresh and tasted authentic. Portions were large and uncomplicated. Service was friendly. Tried fish of the day, and veal fubghi - both tasted great. If you are looking for a simple quick and well priced meal in this area I can totally ecommend. Ver carta

We have just visited Baia d'oro again after we have done so yesterday evening. Our kids say today was the best experience ever? It wasn't the weather. It wasn't the table, as both were the same yesterday. It is just a place in Cologne offside the beaten track where they manage to make you feel you are in Sicily. Please do go here, you certainly won't regret!

Really good local Italian place in an area of Cologne where interesting restaurant options are hard to come-by (I have a feeling time stopped here some 15 years ago).Very good selection of pastas and pizzas (they have a proper traditional stove).Cozy place run by Italian staff with simple interior and good service.Great for a lunch break or moderately-priced dinner.

First of all, the pizza's looked awesome... sad enough we ordered something else. Vitello tonnato was 14€, too much sauce but the flavour was +\- ok. We had fish from the suggestions. Fish was ok, assorted pasta was not ok. I expected it with some garlic and parsley, it came with a tomato sauce. Assorted salad was very basic. Winelist didn't exist, limoncello was out of order... the bill was wrong... such a shame...' Ver carta
