"6 stars. This place is a true gem. We were recommended this restaurant by a friend and it did not disappoint. The interior is beautiful and has a really warm feeling. Our server was a remarkable 19 year old who was so passionate about the place, he went above and beyond to translate everything to my English speaking girlfriend to make her feel catered to. We went on the 14th of July and had a specially designed Bastille day three course meal. Each dish was genuinely amazing and extremely delicious. With the amount of care put into both the food (which was all fresh) and the atmosphere this restaurant is a bargain for its price. We will definitely be going back!"

Top! Place, service, dishes. Really perfect. Provide a little more budget but really very satisfied for the value/price ratio

Great spot for a special occasion or if visiting Nantes. Very accessible for wheelchair users including restroom. Delicious dessert menu. Recommend the pork loins

The very good desserts were packed with a mediocre service. A command error can happen but the least thing is to apologize and avoid taking the customer from top. Too bad for a place with so much charm.

I shared a culinary moment with a friend, in this place where we came 3 years ago and I would keep a better memory of it, on the lobster at the level of quantity and quality and the disappointed filling otherwise the server was rigolo.

A perfect experience, as it is rare to find in restoration. Delicious cuisine. Historic and iconic place. And a special mention for the attention of the customer to the reception and service during the meal, particularly well-kept and professional.

An exceptional team and kitchen await you in this exceptional Nantes institution, set in the 1990s. The cigala delights both young and old, for its history, its atmosphere and its finely crafted cuisine. A unique place in Nantes, which deserves to be visited.

I visited this old restaurant just to have a coffee in the city center and look into the interior of it. I was really disappointed by the level of service (25 min to bring two cup of coffees) and the fact that my coffee was cold. Furthermore, I suppose I had to pay plus one Euro for the status of this restaurant and its location and service, but it was a disappointing experience. I visited the interior of it and was astonished by the fact that the personnel started their vacuum cleansing in spite of the fact that there were some clients. I found the place a bit dirty inside, I do not recommend.

"When in Nantes at the last-minute, I used my TA app on my iPhone to find something great near me. I called, and the person I spoke to couldn't have nicer, and said "come on over". I did. The restaurant was virtually empty, despite the fact that a couple of other places I called were booked solid and had no more tables available. The "acceuil" (welcome) couldn't have been nicer. The choices on offer were a fixed formula of 2 entrées, 2 mains, and 2 desserts. I was told that this was as they use only fresh products. I chose a main of cheese/pesto stuffed ravioli with a cream, tomato and cilantro sauce. It arrived quickly, but was maybe room temperature. The hope of fresh cilantro giving a "twist" to the dish, was there, but a bit in the background. I was a bit disappointed, as I couldn't identify the ravioli as being "home-made". In fact, nothing seemed to be fresh/hand chopped, like the tomatoes. I had the bread pudding for dessert, and it arrived also room temperature, was clearly "home-made" with pears, and clearly bread chunks on the top, with a swirl of chocolate for garnish. It was a bit dry, clearly not made very recently, and the inside (where the bread aspect should have been well-infused), was not throughout. The top of the "cake" had hard, dry bread chunks on it. My impression was that perhaps it was a "slow day", and they weren't putting much effort into it by serving something freshly cooked. There was only one other diner in the place. On the other hand, the serveuse could not have been nicer or more helpful. They feature an interesting international, short wine list with everything available by the glass. The dinner menu (on the blackboard on the wall), looked interesting. I think it merits trying again, if they turn on the stove and start serving food hot off the burner, as the interesting menu seasoning is attractive. Great service, but the food was mediocre this day."
