"We were visiting some of the historical sites in the Alpilles, and from Daudet's windmill headed in to town for lunch. It all looked very quiet and there were only a few cars parked in the main square. We walked towards the main road ...centre of the village which seemed deserted mid week. Then we came to La Cuisine, which was nearly full and welcoming. We settled at the only shaded table available, and selected the menu du jour and a carafe of red wine. The medallions of pork soon arrived. Gently cooked, these were tender to eat and were accompanied by a sauce, and local vegetables. All very tasty for a hot lunchtime, and helped on their way with the local wine. For dessert there was a fig tart which was also delicious. A wonderful meal, and all too easy to have missed from outside appearances. Inside the restaurant the kitchen was open plan so you could see the meals being prepared all clean and inviting. Another plus point and definitely worth a visit."

very good value price, very good dishes, well-provided plates and very friendly waiters with a large terrace under the platanes. it was a little fresh this day but ate well nevertheless with a beautiful salad with magret and foie gras and very well prepared beef tartars. We'll be back. Ver carta

this restaurant embodies the safe and slow return of the French cuisine. a beautiful location in a place under the tees. both my wife and I ordered the gambas. what a casual, insipid lukewarm pasta with obviously precooked and reheated gamba, which was therefore very hard. one that is to be avoided.

the previous reviews in English are related to the environment terrace under the trees etc. but comes from 2019 and it seems that the kitchen has improved since. we had the grilled seafood and the grilled lamb, both tasty with good taste. French fries in the last minute (as they do not come with our meal and they came super fast, freshly fried and excellent. for dessert we missed the last 'baba au rhum', but the 'soufflé au grand marnier' was an excellent replacement. the 'tarteletre aux figues' is served hot and includes pistachios and almand, which can be disappointing for the cowardly lovers, but will fulfill all fans of obstplanets. it was a whole house tonight, and it seems that each of...
