"On our second visit to Lille, we had to go to the same restaurant where we had such an enjoyable culinary experience in 2015 and was only topped with such a friendly, gentle and generous host (who is also the owner and spoke flawless English which was a great help to us) that made quite an impression on us. The food and the accompanying wine selection are PERFECT .. Our favourite entrée l'Escargot à Maroilles is out of this world and the main plates and desserts were equally so delicious - just like the very first time we were there .. Our host was very helpful in assisting us with selecting a great wine that went so well with the entrée and main plates AND it was not at all expensive - A BIG THANK YOU for such a memorable time!! We are leaving France tomorrow going home to Sydney and we are already looking forward to our next visit next year to L'Etable in Lille!"

"I visited this restaurant on a Saturday night and while the food was extremely good, I left the place thoroughly disappointed with the experience there. Good points: The excellent food. I chose the Primo Bacio - a delicious mixed antipasti selection - folloed by the Lasagne all Anatra which was very nice, despite the lasagna itself being a little overcooked and the cafe gourmand to finish which I'd recommend to anyone. The staff were very friendly. Worse points:The service wasn't always great. The waiter twice forgot to bring me things I had said I would like when offered - in the case of the bread with the main course, it arrived when I had three forkfuls left. More annoying wa that he whipped my bowl away from me with two of those forkfuls still there and my cutlery firmly in my hand. They weren't overly busy so this was entirely unnecessary. Children. I have no problem with kids in restaurants - the one on the table adjacent to mine was so well-behaved as to be inconspicous. Sadly, the one who started banging my table while I was eating because maman wouldn't let him watch his sister using the toilet (next to which Table 38 is situated) was less so. Ruined the meal for me and the staff showed no concern despite it going on for some time.The wine list is quite expensive but not at all expansive. Only 3 or 4 reds and whites and fewer roses. 3 courses and two glasses of wine came to around 70 euros including a 20% discount after reserving table through the fork / trip advisor. But it could have been so much better..."

"order on delivroo in view of good reviews. delivery can't be faster: 15min. But, catastrophic arrival. the tapas had simply been put in 2 large boxes, i.e. a joyous mix: anchovies, pdt, cheese in miette sauces returned without lid, warm and cold, fish, seasoned parade half cooked and stuck to the rest, crushed balls. When you order "tackas carriers" at 6€ piece, you don't want to see coming, which looks like mixed plate remains. and what is really a pity is that quality is there and that is delicious!"

"Restaurant proposant des plats typiques faits maison et particulièrement bons.La petite terrasse devant le restaurant est dans une rue piétonne au calme et au frais le soir où nous y sommes allés.Nous avons étaient très bien accueillis par ailleurs.60 euros pour 2 kirs, 50 cl de rosé, 2 plats, un café et un café gourmand. Autant dire que pour la qualité des plats l'addition est très correct.Il s'agit donc d'un restaurant dont je mangerais la qualité des plats et le prix.Vous pouvez y aller sans vous poser de question"
