very nice place in the middle of matera, a little pub a little trattoria, pleasant environment with young service and good cuisine. We started with a mixed appetizer of cured meats and cheeses (good, but not exceptional,) then the ears to the tops of turnip very good as well as the hamburgers and cut. good value for money. on one of the main streets of the center of matera, there is the sewer, a restaurant made by an old cave house. the objects placed in the rooms and also the images that flow to videos of an ancient matera. even if it was a festive day, they had us sit up early enough. the service was fast and the food really good. I also liked pizza. plentiful portions, such as, for example, the typical legume dish of the area (7 euro.) the local is placed on multiple levels, and allows you to really jump back in time for food and location.

We took a one-day-trip to this fabolous town and had lunch in this taverna. It’s located in the centre and we sat on the terrace. The weather was warm in November! We ordered pizza, it was very good with some red wine. The staff wasn’t very friendly and helpful. The waiter was quite indifferent and service was slow. We were lucky because we got our food before siesta. They closed the taverna after 2pm. We felt sorry for the disappointed tourists who saw us and some guests having lunch, but they were not allowed there. We had to hurry and take some of my pizza away. Be careful with the siesta time!
