We didn't come to the restaurant, but we were able to taste your dishes during a wedding this Saturday. What a pleasure! Extra service! See you in your restaurant. Thanks again for this delicious meal.

We stayed here for 2 nights. We had a half board package which offered wonderful value for money. The food was outstanding. Plentiful too. The presentation was fantastic. The staff were amazing. So professional and well organised.

We had a perfect dinner at this (new) place. It was more than a substitute for the place where we wanted to go first. The neighboring restaurant was nearby. Happy to see La Matelote. Perfect service and excellent food. We can recommend this professional place for a special dinner session 100%.

We had a great time, from the reception, well being at the evening meal, everything was perfect. I emphasize the professionalism and attention of staff. A real happiness! Very large restaurant, several lounges compose it with a burning atmosphere, beautiful decoration. High-end staff and adventurous service. Unbelievable aromas, weddings of flavors, every dish surprises us in the desert, magistral! To be recommended, the menu of flavors! The excellence of French tradition with all the ingenuity and the perfect know-how of Tony Lestienne! Bravo

We went to La Matelote to enquire about them catering for our daughter‘s wedding. The food was excellent and Stellios speaks very good English with a gorgeous French accent) We chose them, and the bride and groom returned to do a food tasting. The wedding took place in a chateau near Amiens in April last year. On the day you could not find fault with anything. The food for 120 people) was incredible, perfectly prepared scallops, rare beef and literally a room full of desserts. I couldn‘t recommend them more highly. Only downside is that they‘re a hard act to follow!

We love coming to Le Matelote. Yes, it is a quirky hotel but we love the little touches, and we love the bar/ lounge where we have an aperitif before dining. The hotel room was much larger than a normal Brit hotel room. The people in reception do talk to you if you take the trouble to try to speak to them. The room is always cleaned to a very high standard. The spa pool is small but once you get used to the cold feel it’s exhilarating. The restaurant is super. We love eating here, yes the waiters don’t speak very good English but we try to speak French in their country- as we are not in the uk . We have not had a bad meal here, yet. I do grant you that the language barrier, makes it tricky....
