"The food at this restaurant was amazing, especially the veal which was the best I've ever had. Unfortunately, our experience was completely ruined by the terrible service from one rude and condescending waiter. He criticized my wife for ordering non-Italian food, gave her a history lesson, and even made her cry. He also told us to keep our used cutlery due to COVID (which is not standard practice), and embarrassed my wife for not finishing her meal. When I complained to the manager, Matteo, he was very understanding and promised to address the issue. However, the waiter continued to act aggressively towards us, even following us to the door. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and I hope that this person is dealt with. I would hate for other customers to have a similar experience and miss out on the great food here. We spent a significant amount of money only to be treated poorly. They need to ensure that their staff are not arrogant and disrespectful. Unacceptable."

I went here tonight with my boyfriend and we had the best time!!! I ordered the gnocchi and it was delicious but the staff were my favourite part of the evening, they were so lovely and fun. We live up the road and this will definitely become our regular. Such a good night.

My partner and I went to La Nonnas in Wimbledon for dinner and had an incredible experience. The service was friendly and the food was delicious. The waiter was very personable and made us feel valued as customers. We had a wonderful evening with a fantastic atmosphere. We will definitely be returning to this hidden gem in the town centre of Wimbledon. Ver carta

Mains was tasty, we didn't really enjoy the starters and the soft drinks were flat, bit of bill shock in the end, service was very good but before entering we asked about gluten free options etc but once in and when ordering then got very different answers, overall was ok but not worth the price we paid compared with other similar joints £95 for 2 adults, 2 kids, only soft drinks no desserts)

Was told Minestrone was the soup of the day, when it arrived it was badly cooked vegetables in water, there was no beans or pasta in the soup. Just vegetables in bland water. The manager asked if we didn 't like it as we hadn 't eaten it, when we told him what we thought he said 'okay ' and walked away. Had steak for main, it had no flavor and the potatoes were under cooked and cold, the peppercorn sauce tasted more like gravy. I would not recommend it and it was a huge waste of money.

"only at chez bruce ate, because our original choice to the jubilee dinner (thames river cruise) was cancelled at short notice after we had already booked our hotel: in wandsworth. instead of canceling the whole trip to london, I decided to try cb and see if they could fit us as they were only about 30 minutes away from our hotel. it was a Tuesday night when we were able to get in. I have bruce poole cookbook so was very excited to taste the restaurant and eating was really good. very similar to la trumpet in chiswick and I think they share. my starter of enoki mushroom salad with romaine, rump and comte was enormous. my cousin also thought her makrelenrillettes were first class. we have rejoined our head; I choose the hain that was outstanding again. my cousin complained that her pork was too much meat and not enough of something else. she was again on board with the dessert of white chocolate jerk and rusty ice cream. I had the cheeseboard that was good, but I had better. good wine list, with a little decent half bottle. However, the bottle was ordered by pomerol i was not available, but the sommelier hit an alternative, cheaper bottle that was very good. brot was very nice. service was okay, not great. there were some stretch before us to pour wein, to take plates that were both my cousin and I annoyed. but this little grip aside, I thought £200 without wein was pretty good."
