Nice place on the seafront, I generally prefer restaurants that leave you free to take what you want, here they try to make you take as much as possible.

Enzo and his family make you feel like home. fish is fresh and quality. you eat very well and prices are more than honest. very recommended frying and degoting tour as appetizer

Wonderful ambience, great service and super friendly owners. You immediately feel welcome...family atmosphere. Price-performance TOP! Quality of the food is a dream...grilled fish tiramisu highly recommended! We can only recommend the restaurant and would be happy to come back! PS: Thanks for parking!

beautiful location on the waterfront of ski, welcomed by the owner vincenzo very nice and very professional person who accompanied us in a degotation of high-level fish. first quality products and prepared with finesse and competence. excellent value for money. we found ourselves not very well but more and we will definitely return. Siamo stati in questo locale circa 3anni fa... da allora si è migliorato molto sopratutto nel servizio... poiché per il cibo lo ricordavo ok già allora... adesso il menù è più ricco ed il servizio è molto attento, i prezzi sono onesti... unica pecca il vino bianco sfuso...passato per Cirò... vecchio, tutto era tranne Cirò... sono sommelier e qualcosina la capisco

"Only stopped for a beer but have to give five stars because it was the only place open in the whole town to eat in the afternoon. Yes, I know that Italians eat very late, but come on guys, NOBODY else does, and you're a tourist town. There were hoards of starving tourists wandering the street like zombies, everyone dying of starvation at 6pm, with two hours until the first restaurant might open if they feel like it. The staff at Casa Vela were doing everything they could to keep everyone alive! Excellent service."

"This summer we stopped at dinner after spending the afternoon at sea at this beachfront. the location is very beautiful, attention to detail and with a magical view. the sandwiches, the one with octopus and the one with swordfish, very good. highly recommended and we will definitely return."

"I've been on board eating in this place! Well it turns out that they make the sandwich with swordfish better than Scilla and how could I not pass? There are pros and cons for this place. A counter is that of the places, rightly in the middle of summer it is difficult to find a nice place in their outdoor terrace where you can eat because there is always an immense row, but I must say it is worth doing this whole row! Unfortunately for the rush we were satisfied to stay inside where there are only 2 tables, but we were in a hurry. The service can be said to be good, sometimes the waiters do not see you or are very distracted and do not calculate you often, but we have found ourselves well. Another thing against it is also the fact that they do not take away, we would have loved to take the sandwich and go to eat it maybe on the beach or on the street. We ate this sandwich and we were really amazed by its goodness, it is really what people say that is one of the best places where you can eat the famous sandwich with swordfish. Surely to return with pleasure!"

"Went to this resturant without having read any reviews, which had we read any there would have been a good possibility that would have chosen to go there. However our experience could not be further from those of the previous reviewers. We were a party of ten when we arrived the resturant was empty except for one table, for an inexplicable reason we were shown upstairs to an equally empty room. We made our orders and then we heard a lot of noise coming from downstairs. The anti-pasti arrived which in fairness I must say was fine. Then the main courses arrived, one of which was wrong and two other dishes were still to arrive, which meant three of our party were without dishes. However the vegetables ordered to accompany the missing dishes did arrive. One of the missing dishes was for steak and when it arrived, it was hardly warm and it was rejected and after about 20 minutes it was eventually replaced with a steak of exactly the same temperature, this was not eaten. When the waiter was challenged about this, from our limited understanding of Italian, he said that in the south of Italy the meat is not very good. If this was case why on earth would they put steak on the menu. The other two missing dishes were for fillet of fish in a lemon sauce, which arrived over 15 minutes later than the rest of food, why it took so long was a mystery. We decided to finish our meal and went down stairs to pay our bill, only to find that the majority of the tables were now full, with local male diners who we're watch the football on the TV. I was left with the distinct impression that we foreigners we seated out of the way and it was a case of out of sight out of mind"

"Locale a pochi passi dal nostro B&B, abbiamo scelto di fare una cena veloce. Io ho preso una impepata di cozze (vi dico solo che ho pulito il piatto facendo scarpetta con doppia porzione di pane), la mia compagna ha preso gnocchi a pesto di pistacchi e gamberi altrettanti buoni, porzioni importanti. Il totale con una coca cola e 2 calici di vino bianco? Non ve lo dico provare per credere ...ad ogni modo consigliatissimo, provatelo. Ah dopo il conto ci ha offerto anche l’amaro. Grazie torneremo di certo"
