La Taverna Grill Bistro

Just finished a meal that burnt my wife's arm because the lasagne dish was over cooked in the oven (the waitress confirmed it ! Had to cool it with our bottle of rose ! Not a pleasant experience !!!!!

booked recently with a groupon voucher. rang to book at 12 midday. travelled for 1 hour to get there and it was shut. no notice on the door . nothing. forced to eat take away pizza in nearby graveyard.

Looking for a quick, late evening dinner we found La Taverna and called to see if they would seat us at 10:00 for dinner. They agreed and we had a wonderful, fun and very good dinner there. Very casual place, not fancy, but the food was very good and an excellent value. Would highly recommend it! Ver carta

The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming one of the friendliest atmospheres of any restaurant. The food was superb with really fresh ingredients, and a broad and varied menu. The fritto misto was a particular stand out with the various elements all cooked to perfection. All in a great place for a family meal.

We dined at this restaurant twice during our two-day stay and enjoyed both meals. The food was delicious, well-presented, and we had a great lunch as well as an evening meal. I tried the chicken and steak dishes, both of which were equally fantastic. The staff was friendly, and even the chef greeted us. If you're ever in the area, be sure to give them a try.

We called here for lunch and they about served everything from a breakfast baguette to full menu. The chicken we had was great 2 large chicken breast and the sauce was amazing. We went back again in the evening the day after and had the steak and peppercorn sauce. All meals nicely presented and hot and plentyful. Staff where friendly and even the chef said hello. Staying in The Holiday Inn Bath, everywhere booked in town for Saturday night so decided to try this little taverna 2 mins down the road from our hotel. What a find, friendly attentive staff and absolutely delicious fresh food. Varied menu, everything we had was a really high standard, from a foodie family who have high standards! Can’t believe we found this by accident, have eaten in many of Baths eateries and this was up there with some of the best. Fabulous, I will be back.

What a great discovery just a 5-minute walk from the Holiday Inn! The food was simply amazing, authentic, and delicious. We enjoyed a variety of pizzas that were reminiscent of ones you would find in Italy - with a light, airy base. The seafood pasta and classic carbonara were also fantastic. The fresh salad was wonderful as well, and everything was served by a friendly and lovely staff. The coffee after the meal was also excellent. Thank you for a great experience, we will definitely be returning.

I made a reservation as recommended during the current situation. When I arrived, I was seated at my table, but a group of six foreign men were put at a table without a reservation and had their orders taken before us. We waited 25 minutes before anyone paid us any attention. At that point, I was close to leaving... When our food finally arrived, the Bruschetta was underwhelming - the bread was not even toasted and the toppings were lackluster. Then, our main course arrived as a pizza instead of the Risotto we had ordered. It was a disappointing experience overall.
