We chanced upon La Taverne Provençale when we decided, on the spur of the moment, to visit the hilltop village of Gourdon. The spacious terrace, with its stunning views down to the coast, was already fairly full but, despite our lack of reservation, we were warmly welcomed, a table swiftly found for us and two apéritifs arrived with the comprehensive menu, including daily specials. The food was simply excellent, particularly my own farandole of traditional stuffed vegetables. Our wonderful waiter, Grégoire, took great care of us and indulged me in my efforts to practice my rusty French. Desserts were also absolutely delicious. We feel extremely lucky to have bagged a lunch at this justly pop... Ver carta
