We have a holiday house in Sornac and always had great meals in Chateau Du Bord. The owners have built this new restaurant and it is equipped in their own unique style. The location of the restaurant is excellent and the views of the countryside... from the terrace are great. The food is always of the highest quality and the owners are always very welcoming. After years we returned today but it wasn't at all as before the dishes were very good but the staff lack experience/quality/smile.... to start they forgot us for the fun and we believe it was at a table without aperitives. the gourmet coffee was with a cabbage too cooked and not as we hoped to see the other designs on the map. When the bill was passed, the young lady didn't even take the time to react to our good afternoon or tip and was talking to someone next to us.

Above all, do not forget to book, restaurant outside of ussel towards the exit of the highway. Welcome very nice, for this pleasure we have chosen dishes of the gourmet menu. to compose our menu in entry we tasted a super jaccotte of saint jacques with cepes and saffron and the very hearty and well cooked foie gras plate, in flat it was calf ris and also a traditional calfhead a great bravo for the kitchen. in dessert half cooked chocolate, pear poached with jasmine ice and a super thousand leaf has apple.Break with the very kind boss and its servers we spent a good time. tjrs should not trust certain comments

This is a beautiful environment on a terrace overlooking a small valley (and the road) on the outskirts of Ussel. You eat on a terrace and we were happy enough to have good weather, so could sit fully on the terrace. The flowers and decoration... there is a wonderful atmosphere. The food is excellent and the portions generous. The presentation underpins the quality. I had followed the godfather by the duck breast. Others had lamb and fish. In all cases the food was well flavored. There was a good selection of deserts from fruits to chocolate to ice. The costs were reasonable and comparable to other three course menus in the region.
