"We had a chance to have dinner here with friends, a few days after the opening. The restaurant decor is contemporary, with only hints of the usual mountain features (lots of wood . The pace was very crowded, but despite this our order was taken and served within a reasonable time. We had a couple of starters, inclusive of polenta and mixed entries, served nicely. The main course was also appetising and nicely presented. My pasta was very good, and so was the hamburger, which is a specialty of the house. Only a few of remarks, to improve service: we ordered white wine, which was served in a water cooler, but without a cloth to dry the drippy bottle; our cutlery was not replaced, just taken away with the starters ' dishes and we helped ourselves from the next table (thankfully empty before the food from the main would get cold; of the two desserts we selected, the tiramisu was good, but what they call cheesecake was an ice cream over a pancake. Not creamy at all and crumbly at all. Either change the description or serve real cheesecake I think it was still not possible to pay with cards, but maybe I am mistake and maybe this has been fixed by now. The price was reasonable, considering the location, service and food. Would recommend but I don 't need to, since all the locals (and tourists are well aware about it ;"

"booking for three people is advised to take only one cutter otherwise we could not have had another, in fact the cutter was very abundant and with a nice variety of cheeses a little less than meats. the other dishes we found them mediocre. sugars soaked in the flavored alcohol and many varieties. The very kind lady. cost for 1 cutter, 3 first, 1 bottle of wine and sugar € 88. If I were to return, I would order only a cutter per person."

"If you're driving between Italy and France and using the Fréjus tunnel, this is a great place to stop for a meal. 5-8 minutes drive off the highway. Park at the local train station. We arrived at midday and were the second group of clients. Friendly service and very efficient, menus in Italian only, use Google translate. The pasta is excellent, not too salty, even the bread basket was yummy (the bread, not the basket , and the waitress refilled it for us half way through and didn't charge us for more. Note that in Italy it is custom to charge around 2€ per person for service. A glass of house red for 3€, our children had the primi dishes of tajanis which is very fine tagliatelle pasta with ragu meat sauce (10€ , not a drop left. One meatosaurus had a big quality steak with fries (17€ , the other a veal in sauce with mashed potatoes (in cream! 14€ . Mummy had a very refined dish of Ravioloni, big filled raviolis served with asparagus and pine nuts (12?14?€ . Quiet and calm dining room, very clean toilet facilities (remember Anthony Bourdain with baby changing table plus little potty and Ikea stool! In fact two other tables later had toddlers and they were very well behaved, on the way out I noticed a table of children colouring pens and books so they must be quite child-friendly. Nice rest with decent food."

"An absolutely superb experience. Kids (and adults) loved the snowmobile up to the restaurant. 10 Euros per person for this (return trip) was very reasonable. Stunning views of Sauze under the stars on the way back down. The restaurant looks great inside. The food was stunning, and very reasonably priced considering the quality. Service was superb, friendly, and generous thanks so much for the gift at the end of the meal. The rib of beef was wonderful. One of the best meals and restaurant experiences we have ever had. Really hope to be back one day. Maybe we will try and stay in one of the rooms next time."

"Recommended by a friend and probably one of the best restaurants I’ve had the pleasure to visit. Tucked away on the edge of town and looking like the sort of place you would swerve, it really is an absolute must if you find yourself in Sauze d’Oulx. So good that we actually went twice whilst there for 5 nights! A very friendly and welcoming restaurant which specialises in both meat and fish. You have to ask for a table downstairs where the chef expertly chops away at a huge piece of beef before cooking on the open grill. The steak and fish were cooked to perfection and the lobster spaghetti was incredible, so much so that we ordered both times. The deserts were also some of the best over our trip. This is an absolute must try but make sure you book in advance and incredible value!!"
