"How disappointing. We went there as we saw the great reviews and that they had vegan vegetarian options BUT apart from the beautiful view there wasn’t much to be desired. The eggplant in the grilled vegetable was completely undercooked hard. The caprese was very average and if you compare the photos from a past review that I have attached, you’ll see it’s clear we got some half arsed effort tonight. Our vegan caprese lacked detail that it once had no heart shape cheese and only one little fresh basil which is SO necessary for flavour. Compare the photos from the review and tonight, where there used to be basil throughout the dish. Our Seitan dish was half the size of the photo in a previous review AND was barely edible VERY over cooked, difficult to cut with a knife. What’s more the ratatouille it came with was cold. It was very underwhelming. We also had a pasta dish which was also cold and lacked flavour. Oh, and my wine came with an insect. My only regret is I waited until the bill to give feedback. I should’ve sent it all back to the chef. There was one nice waitress but overall the whole place lacked personality and didn’t feel welcoming at all. We’ve eaten at a LOT of places and call ourselves “foodies” I rarely leave a negative review, so to write this says exactly how disappointing the experience was. To top it off it was the our most expensive meal in Lake Como for us 4x the lunch we had earlier in the day that was so authentic, served warm, and delicious and satisfying which makes it even worse. I’m always happy spend the extra s on a great meal, but sadly this was NOT!!!"

We had very pleasant dinner here, the service was great and athmosphere lovely, with a great view. Food was great, but perhaps hoped for stronger flavours. Big recommendation for this place though!

uno dei pochi posti trovati aperti a dicembre per vagare dove mangiare. essere inverno le capre erano molto pochi (spero che in estate sono più e che ci sono più gouits vegan sopra fragola e limone) ma di buona qualità.

piccolo negozio di gelato in una magnifica posizione, all'inizio della passerella, sul lago. prezzi nella norma, hanno poche ma buone capre, solo due per vegani ma almeno era aperto anche in inverno! Un posticino, certo. Ver carta

Terrazza stupenda sul lago. Servizio attento e garbato. Piatti raffinati e gustosi. Il proprietario gentilissimo e simpatico, vero intenditore e amante della buona cucina, qualità che si sentono tutte nei suoi piatti. Sicuramente il miglior ristorante di Varenna

La location si presenta bene con una bella terrazza vista lago. Personale cordiale ed impeccabile.Piatti buoni con varietà di scelta anche a chi è vegano o vegetariano. La mia ragazza ha apprezzato molto il piatto di salmone vegano.Buona qualità prezzo vista anche la bella posizione. Ver carta

Una piacevole scoperta, ci siamo accontentati del posticino sul piccolo balcone laterale, sempre vista lago, ma siamo super soddisfatti. Servizio ottimo e cordiale Le portate sono spaziali, ottima qualità, ottima esecuzione e anche l 'impiattamento ha il suo perché. Consigliato a chi è disposto a spendere qualcosina in più, per mangiare bene, con una vista davvero bella. Noi ci torneremo.

We had lunch at La vista during our trip to lake como , last week of October 2023. The experience was delightful The seating overlooking the lake is just beautiful. We tried sea bass and stuffed chicken. The staff are very polite and we're happy to assist us with suggestions. Reservations in advance could be a good idea since it's quite busy in tourist season. It's closed for off season holidays in November.
