Lakeside Brayton Bar Restaurant Pub

My husband and I went for lunch this week. The food was fresh and delicious. The flavours were put together with clear skill and knowledge. Good luck, we hope you continue to create beautiful food. We will be back.

The best meal we have had in a long time, fresh local produce, I had spicy pulled lamb sat on couscous and my husband had a handmade beef burger on a brioche bun and hand cut chips. Everything is prepared on sight by the talent chef Rachel and her team who have now taken on the restaurant as her own. Limited opening days to start but well worth a visit

Four of us came for Sunday lunch , we had turkey , lamb and beef and it was delicious. Food cooked to perfection and plenty of veg and extra gravy when we asked for it . We finished off with the nicest sticky toffee pudding with cream and ice cream we have ever tasted . The chef even came out to ask everyone how they had enjoyed their meal .Will certainly be back . This restaurant is absolutely incredible. The staff is friendly and polite. The food is delicious and very filling. We tried a moo burger and chicken tikka naan with chips and coleslaw. It was all delicious. For dessert, we had carrot cake and chocolate and caramel cake. Both were tasty and generous portions, so next time we will share just one. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning soon.

We had a fantastic experience at this lodge in the North Lakes. The staff were lovely, the food was great, and the location was beautiful. This was our second visit and we were just as impressed as the first time. The first time it was just my husband and I, and it was so relaxing. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our second visit, we brought my Mum along and she loved it as much as we did. Our next visit might include the whole family. Thank you for making this place so special.

We were staying at the Brayton Park Lodges so had a couple of takeout deliveries from the onsite Lakeside restaurant. The food is delicious, you can tell they use quality ingredients. The grilled cheese was to die for, and the chicken club was nice and full with perfect crispy bacon. Would also recommend the Beef Sarnie which was far too big for me, but I couldn't stop eating it! We had a cumbrian breakfast too, and both agreed that it was the best we'd eaten anywhere. Couldn't fault this place at all, and just another reason to return to this fabulous place again.

Stayed at Brayton Park from 26th September for 4 nights. We booked for a meal at the restaurant on 28th. The whole experience was a joy, staff were very warm and welcoming, food was excellent, service was excellent and the staff very friendly and polite. The only downside was the entertainment, a loud mouth person shouting for the manager because the tables next to the windows were occupied. Shame at 7.30pm the outside was very dark, except for the ducks with miners lamps on their heads! His attitude just shows how shallow minded some people are, the only person who looked stupid was him.

Staying at the lodge on site of this park and fully enjoyed our stay here. Yet when only able to book the restaurant for a Wednesday birthday treat for ourselves it appears they prefer their locals over visitors. Booked a table for two for 7pm arrived at 6.50pm and wete sat to await a table. Offered a drink which was served still awaiting our table. At 7.25pm we were escorted to our table and left there.... others/ locals or regulars obviously were sat after us and attended too, offered drinks at table and menus yet we sat still awaiting a waitress..... after other served I went to ask when we might be served and was told quite firmly in a minute! 5mins later we were asked for our order. We visited on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th Sept for dinner, as we were staying on site in one of the lodges. We noticed when we arrived that there were only 2 girls on for dinner service, who explained that there had been a few people leave last minute and they were short staffed, so apologised profusely for any delays. We were patient but didn’t feel like we waited too long for our meals to arrive anyway as we were chatting and enjoying the atmosphere. The girls were both attentive to the room throughout service, from what I noticed and I always pay attention, having been a hospitality manager for 12 years.
