fast service, great location. flame cake and sausages were good. a bit touristy. the inner is beautifully decorated.

we were looking for an informal meal and that was exactly the place to get it, excellent flamcake and salat with great wine to favorable trips in a lively location.

Very friendly service, very pleasant experience. The location directly at the river and at the center of Besancon really makes it a great place to have lunch or dinner. Ver carta

we didn't have their speciality, flaam cake. instead cold dishes. good and not expensive, considering the situation in bill. red wine, only a choise, was nothing to mention. white ok. personal a bit whimsy, so keep at least one in their business sober enough to the. Ver carta

Our last night in Besancon and having eaten of the best and richest for 2 nights we were looking for something lighter. L'Alsacien delivered beautifully with flammkuechen both savoury & sweet accompanying by good beer! Lovely staff and a novel method of summoning customers to the kitchen!

We absolutely Loved our meal there. A Swiss friend had recommended this restaurant to us and we in turn recommend it to you because The food was awesome, and we had wonderful friendly service. On our visit we had a beer and the local speciality...Pizza type meal, fantastic! Thanks from N.Z.

We had the surprise to discover that this traditional restaurant is quite vegan friendly (the owner's sister is vegan and vgn options are clearly listed. From appetizers to dessert you can eat vegan as a mixed salad, a distille and a sweet distille are on the menu. I tasted the salty flame cue named Volksvegan (German speakers as well as car enthusiasts are probably made the joke with soy cream, mushrooms, onions, lemon marinated smoked tofu and spices... including caraway (the combination works very well!
