"Went here for a nice evening with four friends to have a nice goose dinner. As always: atmosphere is really great, the place is very nice decorated and the service is just perfect. The prices are very high and therefor one expects a perfect dinner, and this time this sadly didn't happen. The starter, an assortment, was great, and as we shared with two the price around 18 is good. We all ordered goose with chess-nuts for €33,50 pp. And there the chef had an off-day or blacked out for a moment. We were served dry peaces of meat. Although we don't like to do so we complained and now the place showed their class again: we were giving the option to get all a new plate or to get the dessert for free. Although I now regret not to have done so, we decided to go for option two as we didn't feel comfortable to throw so much food away. The desert was good again. So overall: food-wise a negative experience but service-wise they did everything they could or should. We paid €375 for 6 persons (no desert but incl drinks) we will come back for sure but need to save first to be able to. Clearly I recommend the place."

Very good restaurant in a small village. Food was great, service couldn't be any better or faster. Nice cabinet for smokers with electrical heating.

This restaurant was wonderful. Despite the fact that there was a wedding on at the same time, the service was great, and our table was well separated from those festivities. Our waiter spoke both German and French, which some of our guests appreciated. Food was excellent and the portions huge and cooked exactly as requested.

Went here for a wedding lunch. The quality of the food was great, the location was amazing. Altogether it made it a very nice afternoon. Only point of criticism: the don't know very well how to treat wine, don't mix different years. Although the service was with a smile, there was one who was a little but 'uncontrolled' especially for a nice place like this.

This is a fantastic looking restaurant and from how busy it was it is certainly popular. Despite how busy it was the staff were on top of everything, which is no small thing!Was the season for roast goose, it's just a shame that the hotel I was staying in served me the same thing the night before but it was still very nice. Great venue good food and great service. Worth a detour to visit but ensure you book. Ver carta

Very pleasant restaurant , inside and out. Excellent service, friendly, pleasant and efficient- went out of their way to please. We were a group of 20, had cocktails outside under the trees and had a separate room for dinner.The decor is cosy and warm- great for groups but you will always find the quiet places in this restaurant for couples who want a tete-a-tete.Food is excellent, the desert were plentiful.No hesitation, you cannot go wrong with this restaurant.

As always, we found this restaurant by searching the Tripadvisor pages :-) ..... we were in Dreieich on a Wednesday evening and most restaurants were very crowded. Fate brought us Alte Bergmuhle and she did not disappoint us. A very nice and quiet/private dining room, lots of interesting food on the menu and nice wines. The Angus steak was cooked to perfection and the Tempranillo wine was good company. No rush, easy going -but formal- staff. Very good quality/price balance. If in Dreieich again, I will make sure to return!

I ended up in this Hotel-Restaurant by chance and have been positively surprised. The personnel is nice and professional and the place has charm. But the better part is the restaurant. I had a very good beef medallion accompanied with an even better vegetable mousse (31 euros). The draft wine (some merlot) was very good as well and at reasonable price. But I found excessive the 7,50 euros for a bottle of sparkling water. In conclusion the kitchen is very good and elaborate. It is somehow a "costy" address but quality is there. Ver carta

What a super hotel Beautiful and characterful. Staff professional, courteous, helpful and friendly. Food superb. We stayed Friday lunchtime until Monday morning. We are a couple with a 3 year old. They provided an extra bed. Attended any food and drink requests at any time. The wedding on Saturday afternoon was wonderful. Stylishly done. Dealt with the rain and consequent alterations to plans seamlessly. Catered for approx 60 guests so professionally and all through the night. Though we weren't up too late with having our son with us, the party went on till 5 am! The only fault was with the cold water pressure in our room, but that is being picky. Excellent family run hotel in a really lovel...

My first positive impression was the large, spotlessly clean kitchen and her 3 robust cooks. I knew immediately that I was in for a culinary adventure. The cooks smiled at us from their steaming pots and gave us a look of; "Welcome to our establishment. You are in good hands". Needless to say I was not dissappointed. Every dish was an awakening of the senses. Good old regional food presented with a passionate French touch. We tasted a rack of lamb embedded in a delicate curry gravy, sliced deer meat that melted on our palate, roast beef curled up in a mushroom sauce, chicken & goose liver patè and always that devilish bread served with 3 types of butter. I still had space for their dessert....

"Wir sind im Mai dieses Jahres ins Mezzo eingeladen worden.Das Ambiente überzeugte uns schon mal und wir fühlten uns gleich gut aufgehoben.Wir bekamen dann einen Aperitif gereicht der uns aber leider viel zu warm war und reklamierten.Die Servicekraft fragte uns ob wir sicher seien das uns der Aperitif zu warm wäre(wenn nicht hätten wir uns ja nicht gemeldet!!).Der Aperitif wurde dann aber recht schnell ausgetauscht und hatte dann auch die richtige Temperatur.Beim Eindecken des Brotkorbes fiel uns auf das sich unter dem Brot noch getrocknete Tomaten befanden welche da nicht hingehörten.Ein Blick beim Befüllen der Brotkörbe hätte schon genügt um die Tomatenrestezu entdecken( auch im Stress!!). Das soweit zum Service. Ansonsten lief es beim Service gut.Zum Essen war folgendes zu sagen.Die Vorspeisen Vitello Tonnato und Tomatensuppe mit Basilikumpesto waren geschmacklich gut.Die Hauptgänge Fettucini mit Pesto und die Spaghetti mit Knoblauchsoße und Tiger Garnelen waren geschmacklich und optisch in Ordnung.Bei einem Gericht waren wir aber sehr enttäuscht. Meine Frau bestellte das Spargelrisotto mit den gebratenen Black Tiger Garnelen.Als uns der Teller präsentiert wurde wusste ich schon das das kein Risotto sein kanndas den Namen Risotto verdient haben kann ohne ihn probiert zu haben.Der Risotto wurde in einem hohen Reisring angerichtet. Optisch natürlich schön anzusehen.Der Risotto war leider so trocken das er mühelos den Reisringtest bestanden hat. Wir waren uns noch nicht mal sicher ob es sich dabei um richtigen Rundkornreis (wie vielleicht Arborio oder Carnaroli handelte weil der Reis so verkocht verklebt und trocken war. Geschmacklich war er noch in Ordnung.Ein guter Risotto sollte leicht cremig(schlotzig) sein fast schon laufen und trotzdem noch einen leichten Biss aufweisen. Meiner Meinung nach sollte er auch in einem tiefen Teller angerichtet werden gerade weil er ja schlotzig und cremig sein sollte.Da ich selber Koch bin undmeine Frau im Servicebereich arbeitet können wir das schon ganz gut beurteilen.Schade, eigentlich hätte ich gerne eine bessere Bewertung abgegeben aber der Risotto lässt das leider nicht zu.Wir werden aber wiederkommen. Wer weis was an diesem Tag passiert ist das man uns diesen Risotto serviert hat."
