"After I was in Spain many paintings, I recognize real Spanish cuisine and I am glad to say that I found it at this place. perfect spice and presentation. sangría is really good, one of the best I've ever had from Spain. I don't give them 5 stars because the service was not top, I understand that this place is somehow new and therefore personal could get used to how to serve people. also because jamón serrano was not as good as I expected for the price, I had better one for the same price in central london. I recommend ordering paella as soon as they arrive, how it takes 40m to cook, which is good because that means that they make it literally for them. overall, this is a great place in the opposite, surely this will be a busy place very soon."

We ordered takeout as a special family treat. It was very delicious - the best restaurant in Selsdon!

amazing eating. good portions. a server could face up a bit, very straight and we had to go to butter or oil with the brot, but apart from these dingen, big place to eat.

Great value: My friends and I were saying as we left that we were surprised the bill was so low. Good portions, well cooked. The music playlist repeated a few times, although the tunes were fun. Polite waitress.

I had never noticed this Indian restaurant in selsdon, but I am so glad that we had to eat twice in the last weeks there. very nice, friendly and friendly staff. contempt, but not in the face perfect! very good, tasteful food and very cheap prices. we will return.

I give a full score here. Spent an evening out with colleagues from all over the world, and we had a splendid time here. Food was great, environment clean and convenient though crowded because of alternative actions there. Though pricey, it has a good stock of Spanish cuisine. Great.

we originally ordered about eating, but the driver gave me my order to another customer and instead of correcting their mistake, they canceled our order! I called the restaurant, because it was impossible to keep and the manager got my whole job rebuilt and personally delivered in 20 minutes at the same price! absolutely fantastic service from this restaurant, and even better, it was the best Indian takeaway we ever had! everything was delicious and fresh. the sweets were amazing! we will order definitiw from here, but not over! many thanks!

las fuentes is a typical Spanish bar/restaurant that serves incredible dining with a beautiful, busy atmosphere. the personal is attentive and it is really one of the best Spanish places where I was! the tapas are delicious, the portions are generous and eating always comes steaming on their dish. I recommend the grilled wild boar that is just perfect. the restaurant is spacious and always swings in the evening, which is a certificate for how great it is. las fuentes is a real tasty bite. perfect for meeting at bar or meal with friends and family in restaurant. that is not one you can miss!

"I hadn't been here since my mother brought me as a teenager in 1965, when it was the Chalet Suisse. We were welcomed by a waitress seeing us coming and opening the door for us, ushered to a table by the window. We both had a fish dish, myself a crab-stuffed fillet of plaice, my wife a seabass paella with mussels. My plaice was succulently fresh, with a subtly spiced filling and sauce, The new potatoes were perfect. My wife is from a fishing family in Brittany so really knows her fish, and her saffron paella met with unconditional approval. The buckshee bread chunks in a basket already on the table were left, so I could enjoy mopping up the last of the lovely flavour of the juice. After polishing off the little extra pot of sweet potato fries, for dessert we had a special, Eton Mess, and banana cream profiteroles, which we swapped half way through, just gorgeous, and a filter coffee to finish off. With a couple of beers all for a fraction over £50 this was extraordinary value. This was no ordinary pub-chain grub. Every dish had something unusual and special to commend it, whether the spicy crab or the tart passionfruit syrup setting off the usually overwhelmingly sweet Eton Mess. This was proper cooking by someone who really knows their stuff, nicely presented but without fuss. Our fellow diners were all friendly and accomodating in a fairly small space, some engaging in jolly conversation with us. The service was attentive, kind. and unobtrusive. There was music but not overly loud and the atmosphere was relaxed and unhurried. I've heard this place mentioned by others before over the years and very much wish we'd made the effort to visit before now, our wedding anniversary. We will go again for sure, and take others with us too!"

"This is a small, very nice, non-chain coffee shop selling tea, coffee, some savoury sandwiches plus snacks and cakes. (Not to be confused with 'Smoothbean ' which is also in Croydon and also very good, but the two have no connection.)What 's good about it? It 's non-chain, so you 're actually dealing with nice people offering good service, not just wage slaves at the front end of a vast, impersonal corporation. The quality of the tea and coffee is as good as anywhere else. The service is warm, human, friendly and personal. The staff are efficient and helpul but also pleasantly informal. They don 't have a very wide selection of things to eat. However, what they DO have is all very nice and good value, whether you want savoury and healthy or sweet and indulgent. I loved the little 'bakesmiths ' cakes they sell that say 'made by hand in small batches ' on the label. What 's maybe not so good? Well, it 's not in what you 'd call a great location. Plus it 's really small. Upstairs (at street level) there are just two small tables and space for maybe five or six people at most (assuming some don 't mind sitting at the window). Downstairs, there are a chairs and sofas providing room for about eight people, although it 's a bit cramped. All in all, the think to love about Crushed Bean is the tone, the atmosphere, the fact that it 's small, friendly and informal and run by human beings rather than branded corporate drones intent on hitting targets. Go there at a not-too-busy time and you can enjoy a little bit of peace and quiet and know that you 're choosing to support a small, independent coffee shop and not one of the behemoth chains. Bonus good point #1: if you ask for your milk on the side, it comes in a miniature milk bottle. This cute touch should be standard practice but isn 't.Bonus good point #2: They offered me a free tea refill. Nowhere else that I 've been to does this.Bonus good point #3: They are right opposite Cake Box, a wonderful emporium of gloriously unhealthy options."
