"Très bon établissement qui a fait de gros progrès, j'y avais déjeuné il y a quelques années sans y retourner car j'avais été déçu... Là, l'accueil est chaleureux, le service dévoué, on ne manque de rien! enfin un resto où on est pas obligé de pleurer des heures pour avoir un morceau de pain ou une carafe d'eau... La qualité des plats est bonne, m^me excellente pour la viande: un faux filet énorme, gouteux, cuit impeccablement bien. Les entrées sont variées et copieuses. La souris d'agneau délicieuse, un peu moins conquis par la marmite de poisson, qui, malgré une bonne sauce est composée principalement de moules et de cubes de poisson surcuit et sec, mais bon... on comprend,à St Pons la mer est loin! Sinon Les desserts sont impeccables aussi. Tout ça pour un prix décent tant sur les menus que sur le bon vin de St Chinian. Beaucoup de restaurants devraient prendre exemple, j'ai adoré et j'y retournerai."

"Have been meaning to eat here for sometime, had heard a couple of good reports, but had been put off on the summer by the unattractive outdoor eating area - exposed to traffic etc. Intended to go during the winter and sit inside, but again the style did not appeal - looks cold and basic, lacking in ambience when you look in. It is a pity these first impressions put us off because the meal was faultless and delicious and we will return soon. Loved the nems, the fish, the bread, the steak, the duck etc etc! Only the desert carte was a bit lacking - mostly just glaces. And once inside the austere cafe decor is forgotten by good food and company."

"We had 14 people for my wedding. The waiter was so nice, he was very professional, we were all served with the limoux and liqueur blanquette refreshments at the choice. My favorite was Chataigne. The entries were amazing, charcuterie plank to share with Sun Vegetable Spreaded Tarte, smoke trout net. The main meal was also delicious, the meat was tender. The owner was always present, very good atmosphere, I have to say that it is a very good restaurant. The price is very affordable. I probably recommend this restaurant. I'll be back. Vita Gravano"

"Un lieux incontournable à St pons de thomieres, un accueil fantastique, et de la détente à l'intérieur, et l'été la terrasse protégé du soleil, où l'on y est bien entre la place du marché le mercredi et la rue commercante, l'occasion de passer pour manger sur le pouce, ou y passer le repas et l'après midi en extérieur tout en étant magnifiquement servi.. et c'est aussi un lieux de motard au cas où vous seriez concernés Service: Dine in"

"We had taken the first tour of the day at the Grotte de la Deveze (in Courniou) and wanted to have lunch before returning to our village. We were welcomed immediately into the rustic interior of the restaurant. It was 1 pm so several tables were filled already. There were two people working in the kitchen, one who stayed in there, and one who seemed to be doing everything else, including some cooking, but it didn 't affect the rhythm of the meal at all. We had a nice, leisurely, typically French lunch, but never had to wait for too long for anything. (I hate when they rush you, thinking that is what English speaking people want) We opted for the 13.50 Euro menu du jour. My husband had chicken in a tomato sauce, with potatoes, green beans. He seemed happy with it. I had fish with a red pepper sauce, a celery root puree and rice. Each dish also came with one of those ubiquitous halves of tomatoes with herbs. (which was good) There was also meat available. The food was very simple, and not fancy, but that was a good thing. It didn 't seem to be pre fab. But who knows. My dessert was a Creme Catalan with chestnut puree inside which sounds good but was just ok. It was heavy on the gelatin so not the smooth custard that one would expect. If it was fait maison it wasn 't that successful. My husband had sorbet... We had a lovely time and enjoyed ourselves, but probably would have, in any other restaurant in the area, as we having such a nice day in general! But I don 't think you could go wrong eating here and the price was right. I gave them a Very Good because it was better than Average."
