"It is hard for a committed vegan to eat properly in St. Tropez. Ordering the ubiquitous pasta and risotto every day will tip the scale very quickly, which is not the desired effect at a seaside resort! What a joy, therefore, to happen upon L'Aventure, nestled on a narrow street in the emblematic old town of Saint-Tropez! While L’Aventure most definitely offers a meat- and fish-based menu, charming proprietress Ayala and talented chef Golan are happy to concoct a variety of scrumptious offerings for non-carnists, if given enough advance notice. Among the delights I sampled are crisp falafels (the best I have ever eaten), silky-smooth tahini, a light and fluffy quinoa patty, a refreshing oriental salad, and summer vegetables meltingly grilled in olive oil. Provided you call her 48 hours in advance to indicate your culinary preferences, you can go there with your eyes closed and your palate wide open: Ayala will compose a delicious plant-based menu for you based on the day's market offerings. Wash it down with a crisp rosé while watching the world go by, dressed to the nines on a summer evening. As the French say, “Que du bonheur!” – this is happiness!"

We go there since a couple of years and both, the quality of food and the very attentive service, are still very good.

What an amazing meal! My husband and I stopped in for dinner and were greeted by the chef and hostess who served us throughout the whole night. Escargot, entrecôte with frites, and filet with aventure sauce were all amazing. Even then bread was great! Highly recommend.

We had a very pleasant diner at L'Aventure. The owner is doing a very good job at welcoming guests and supporting service staff. King prawns with vegetable wok were good and the "cafe gourmand" one of the best I have tried. Improvement could come from the table space granted to every guest - we were 12 on a table I would have allocated to 8/10 guests.

"Had lunch there for my 40th birthday with my wife and my 5 yo son : we had a wonderful time, just what I expected for my birthday . The terrace is located in the hotel La Residence de la Pinede so the location and service are perfect, the top notch maître d 'hôtel is superbly seconded by his staff, there really is nothing more to say than perfect when they successfully create a relaxed atmosphere in a 5 location with amazing food. Let 's be clear on something: don 't go there if you 're on a budget because you 'll end up frustrated, you want to chose what you wish to eat and drink not what you can . If we 're ok on this part let 's move forward. That have a formula (95€ with the degustation menu that also includes the loungers on the beach if you wish to enjoy the private beach of the hotel or their pool. We ordered a La carte because we didn 't feel like eating that much and preferred more options for our lunch. A little bummer there : you end up paying more but the loungers are not included so we end up paying 140€ for two of them. We didn 't let this waste our precious stay but it 's not very classy on their part. My son had the pasta (many choices including penne, fettuccine, spaghetti... with bolognese sauce, they 're the BEST I ever tasted and with a 5 yo I 've tasted a lot of them in many locations (including luxurious ones . We shared an entree of smoked salmon and tarama, the salmon was really good, the kind of salmon you expect when they have a real chef orchestrating his kitchen : fresh and delicious. I, then had ravioli filled with ris de veau and foie gras swimming in a sage leaf pool, it was magnificent and I never order foie gras because I don 't enjoy it that much. You have many bread options, we had the fougasse and it was delicious. The champagne list by the glass is amazing : we had Dom Perignon and Krug rosé, definitely pricey but you don 't look at the price when you can get so many options (the sommelier had 5 or 6 options of champagne by the glass for me , you have more classic options too but I was so happy with the ones I had . I was the only one to have desert : a soufflé aux myrtilles with a liqueur de sureau, I was in shock tasting it . We then stayed on the beach and enjoyed the heated pool that was sooo warm after the hotel de Paris 's cold pool. Overall if we forget the bummer of the loungers that are included on the menu but not if you go à la carte and spend a lot more I give them 6 and will definitely come back"
